One of the OG Scarborough Asian bakeries that has opened up a second location
Always go to aromaz when I was at chartwell mall and so nice to see it’s finally expanded and opened up at the midland & MCNICOLL area
Egg tarts and chicken pies are always solid choices to get and if you need a cake last minute, they have quite a few to select from. Got a couple roll cakes and the cake was soft and moist and unlike grocery roll cakes, you could see and taste the cream filling
Came on Christmas Day and couldn’t find anything appetizing from the asia food mart for cakes or dessert and hopped into this new aromaz and they had a great selection!
Service was great. Went on Christmas Day and they were so accommodating and friendly. Even when it was close to closing time.
Definitely gonna come back to this location or the chartwell location!
Great job overall
FYI, couldn’t take pictures of the cakes as I fell asleep and when I woke up, it was already all gone! but will definitely be adding photos as we buy...
Read moreI’ve ordered full cakes and tried a bunch of buns and slices from Aromaz before, but today was the first time I actually experienced their customer service—and honestly, it was very disappointing.
I placed an online order for a cake on July 18 for pickup on July 19. When I arrived after the scheduled pickup time with my order number, I was told the cake wasn’t made—they missed the order entirely. Their immediate solution was to ask me to wait 30 minutes while they made it. I asked for a refund instead. They processed it in their system, but my receipt showed $0.00, which didn’t exactly give me peace of mind.
My frustration isn’t just about the missed order, but the complete lack of accountability or gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. Being told to wait half an hour with no compensation doesn’t reflect good service.
Honestly, I’m starting to think all these positive reviews are tied to their promo “get a free bun if you give us...
Read moreI ordered a birthday cake through the Fantuan app, but they charged an extra $5. Ordering directly by phone can help save on costs. The cake had plenty of fruit, and the sponge was fluffy, but the cream was plant-based whipped cream. In case you are not familiar, plant-based whipped cream is made from vegetable oil combined with stabilizers and emulsifiers. It has an appealing white look, is cheaper in price, and has a longer shelf life. Considering the price range, this is understandable—it’s similar to what you’d find at Foody World or the Asian Food Mart in the same mall. It's just my personal taste, but I really hate this type of cream as it is greasy and uncomfortable to swallow.
The bread was tasty, but the store had a strong milk powder smell, which was a bit...
