Evana Cafe is a true gem for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their desserts are not only incredibly tasty, but also layered with complex flavors that show real craftsmanship. Every bite feels carefully balanced — rich yet not overwhelming, sweet with just the right depth. What really sets them apart is their creativity. They’re always coming up with fresh and exciting ideas, whether it’s the cruffin (a perfect blend of croissant and muffin) or their croissant ice cream that’s as fun as it is delicious. Each creation feels unique, thoughtfully made, and absolutely memorable. And of course, their matcha flights are just as creative. The flavors are so inventive and playful, highlighting matcha in ways I hadn’t imagined before. Who would have thought of Thai tea and matcha?! It’s both an experience and a treat. Would definitely recommended.

My friend and I came for the afternoon tea set and matcha flights. The afternoon tea set was pretty good, but everything tasted buttery and very heavy. There were “savory” flavors like the taro eggroll and cheddar chive scone, but they were all in the form of pastries. I wish the menu included some savory sandwiches or baos, if sticking to the asian fusion flavors. The matcha flight was okay, definitely overhyped on social media. We both liked the pandan coconut and creme brûlée. The hojicha strawberry was gritty and bitter. I feel like in theory- this flavor has a lot of potential, but the recipe needs to be revised. Overall, not a bad experience and would recommend trying once if you’re in the area! Their tables are also really small and it felt crowded.

Beautiful cafe with a selection of cute, delicious pastries, and sweets that are "not too sweet", iykyk. We've come here for afternoon tea twice. Service is fast, but we've found once the tea set is provided, they don't really check in on you again unless you flag them. I did notice on our most recent visit a couple weeks ago, they now have a cart and tub for guests to put away their own cups, dishes, and cutlery. I'm not too impressed with this as afternoon tea is generally a classier/fancier style social meal, and putting our own cups away kind of takes away from the elevated experience. Food wise, the items ingredients seem to be inexpensive compared to fancier offerings but have been enhanced to shine with bold flavours.

Unintentionally visited this patisserie and it was such a nice surprise. I caught it over a weekend and they were just celebrating their anniversary. Decorated with balloons and with many goodies inside as well. I was firstly inundated with the sight of many desserts I was eager to discover. The pleasant staff (masked, for those who are masking) explained their offerings in addition to the promotion they were having. I took their 8+ desserts which net me no tax and a free gift. To be honest I do not remember what I chose as I was more excited to try it from first hearing what it was. The desserts are of very delicate flavors of fruits, creams, chocolate and texture of cake. Not of the dense and heft of typical cakes, like French pastries/desserts all is intentional with subtle flavors and textures and the best is, not overtly sweet. That’s how I like it. I did pick up a croissant which was probably the least exciting item, but I took it as I do go around the city trying croissants and forming my own preferred croissanterie (if that’s a word). After I placed my order, they offered my free gift of a Thai Milk tea ice cream and suggested I could take a seat at the table to enjoy while they packed up my order. Wow. That is service. I declined as I was so eager to try it all out with my dessert compatriots at home. Overall, all items I order were fantastic even the truffle mushroom croissant. It was awesome. The desserts were lovely as much as they looked. Definitely worth a visit if you’re...

Pricey cakes

Went in with a group of friends as this place was new. The place has limited seating. The staff was nice and accommodating. They did the best they could to ensure we all had some seating.

The ice cream flavour of the month was Thai tea and vanilla bean. The recommended eay to eat this was to have it filled in a butter croissant. Unfortunately for us, they ran out of croissants. So we had to just get the ice cream in a cup. Bummer.

The ice cream is about $6 per cup; and it’s not a crazy amount. The flavour of the Thai tea is pretty authentic; it tasted just like regular Thai tea which surprised me. And the vanilla bean flavour was really infused with vanilla flavour. You can sea the black flecks of vanilla bean in the ice cream. So it’s the real deal.

The cakes were next level. The lychee cake with raspberry sauce was incredible! Each bite had a hint of lychee flavour; the raspberry was not over powering. The tiramisu was also really good. Strong coffee flavour with real cream. The black sesame crepe layer cake was super soft and creamy. But it was too much cream for me. It was still good though.

All of the desserts we had were exceptionally good. The prices ranged from $7-$10 per slide; and they’re not very big slices. Picking up slices-to-go adds the cost up pretty quickly. But let’s you try a bit of everything.

The passion fruit drink was refreshing. The americano coffee was just ok.

It’s a really nice date place. Would probably go back but bring...

Visited this patisserie after seeing a social media post. Was drawn into the Matcha tea flight offered. The place is tiny and the esthetics of the place is nice. Prices are premium but looks like everything is made fresh. Staff is friendly and they offer a nice selection of croissants pastries and mousse cakes. Hard to make a decision what to try but I tried the Matcha flight, very berry mousse cake and exotic passion cake. First the matcha flight was presented well and the server provided a card to describe each drink and suggested what drinking order to do. Very professional. I loved it even though I was not a fan of all the different matchas but that’s the point trying a flight gives you the opportunity to try different strengths and see which you like. It was great but personally I didn’t like 3 of the 4 drinks but that’s my preference and enjoyed the experience. The desserts tried were visually beautiful- trying it though I wasn’t a fan. I felt it was too much gelatine in the mousse probably needed to mould the shape but it gives a strange mouth feel. The flavours were interesting but didn’t have enough texture of contrasts to highlight anything in particular. Again was great to try but neither of the cakes wowed me. It’s a shame really. I shared these drinks and desserts were 3 people was plenty. It was pricey but realize it’s a upscale bakery so...
