AYCE sushi with dim sum?!?! Where have you been all my life!
First time visiting and the initial impressions were great. Nice and roomy dining area, great ambience with music playing loud enough that you can have a conversation at your table without hearing the table next to you.
The dining area was clean and the booth seating had ample space on both sides of the table.
Pricing was on par with other sushi AYCE restaurants but I do wish that fountain drinks were included in the price. Kids 2-12 are charged $2 or $2.20/ year old they are which is a big plus! Like my 6yo would ever eat $20+ worth of food.
The flavour, quality, variety and presentation of the food were all very good. Service was very fast and friendly and the food came out very quickly.
I also liked the size they offered for the udon and rice selections where it is much smaller (single bowl serving) so you are not full from 1 and can try others.
And to offer AYCE sushi AND dim sum is a game changer! Although I did not expect the full dim sum selections they offered the core staples like har gow, sui mai, tripe, phoenix claws and a few more.
Would I return or recommend this to others? Absolutely!
However I was very disappointed with 2 of the items we ordered for the 2nd round of food.
Unfortunately I did not take pictures of these items for the first round of food which were fantastic!
These pictures were taken as soon as it was brought to our table.
The beef with mushrooms literally had 2 pieces each of the beef and mushrooms.
The beef short ribs looked like left over bones.
Both dishes looked like they were leftovers from another table.
I completely understand that some AYCE establishments reduce the amount of food for each successive round but this was pathetic.
I would come back again but if the 2nd round is the same I would not return after that.
And a side note: I was told by my wife that there were no coat hooks in the ladies washroom to hang your jacket or bag which...

Starting with the positives: the service was surprisingly great, especially for an Asian buffet-style restaurant. Staff actually checked in frequently, asked how things were going, and were attentive which isn’t typical for places like this. I had made a reservation for six people in advance, and while there was a 10–15 minute wait when we arrived (which wasn’t ideal). When it was time to go to a table they offered to let us spin a wheel for different prizes as a sorry for making us wait. I ended up winning 10% off the bill, which was a nice touch.
Food-wise it was kind of weird.. The sushi and sashimi were the definite highlight. Great quality fish, fresh ingredients, and well prepared hand rolls.
However, once you get into the meat dishes, things take a downturn. The quality of the meat itself was actually decent, but the marination and seasoning were off. The beef ribs usually a favourite of everyone’s were underwhelming, and the pork ribs were a complete miss. The sauce on them was borderline inedible. Same goes for the tacos, just skip them. They were probably the worst part of the meal, with odd flavors and poor execution. Even the “best” one (the beef taco) was barely edible.
Fried rice was solid though, simple but tasty.
Now onto the dessert, honestly, the best part of the meal aside from the sushi. The variety was impressive. There’s a build-your-own cake option where you pick your base (like tiramisu or cheesecake), choose two ice cream flavors, and top it off with fun toppings. They also serve custard and chocolate custard buns that were absolutely delicious. Easily some of the best desserts I’ve had at any sushi buffet.
Price-wise, it’s on the expensive side, and for the quality of food overall, I didn’t feel like it was worth it. If sushi and dessert are your main goals, it might be worth checking out otherwise, there are...
Read moreHave been here a couple times now and ironically enough my first visit was their soft opening. Decided to make the drive to come back. The first time we got a-la carte and it was good. We got to try some items they no longer offer. This time we got the all you can eat. The portions are a bit smaller but really you get the chance to try many items. They had a good selection of dim sum and typical sushi items. We chose some more obscure items this time around. Like the raindrop roll that has mango, cream cheese with a mango sauce was lovely and surprisingly a good combination. I’ve never had mango in sushi and really liked the sweet and savoury. The curried squid my partner got and it was savoury and well flavoured. The chive and shrimp dumplings were also a hit for myself and my partner. The chive was in the dumpling wrapper so that was interesting. Desert wise they have great options. We got the ice-cream and my partner got three different deserts. One of which was the tempura banana, which was sooo nice! Between us we tried all but one desert and they were awesome. Overall, the lunch AYCE is nice and worth it. We’re drove from downtown to here because the AYCE is pretty affordable $30 for each person on the weekend. One thing that is super important to mention is they charge for what you don’t eat. So be mindful of that. The staff are extremely helpful and fast. The food comes out quickly as well and the entire team is really on the ball. The picture was our first round of items, came out 13 minutes after we sent in our order....
