We visited for the first time on a Friday night after 10 p.m. The restaurant wasn’t busy, with only two orders ahead of us.
We ordered the Heavenly Burger combo (with onion rings and a pop) and the Zesty Chicken Burger combo (with fries and a pop), totaling just under $32. We had checked the prices beforehand, so we knew what to expect, and we were hoping the quality would match the cost. While it’s a bit pricey for frequent visits, we were excited to try it.
Service & Atmosphere: Our wait time was a little over 15 minutes, and the dining area was quite cold. Since we were taking our food to go, we stayed patient and didn’t let it bother us. The staff were very friendly, which made the experience pleasant.
Food Quality: Once we got our food, we were happy to see it was packed neatly in paper bags, with plenty of napkins provided without even asking. Everything was fresh and hot!
Heavenly Burger – Loaded with the toppings I requested, this cheeseburger was absolutely worth it! The beef patty had cheese stuffed inside, making it extra flavorful and juicy. The bun held up well without getting mushy, and while it was a little messy, that’s part of the fun of a great burger! If you love cheeseburgers, I highly recommend this one.
Onion Rings – Fresh, crispy, and not overcooked. They had great flavor, but I do wish the portion was bigger—I got fewer than 10 rings in my order.
Zesty Chicken Burger – Thick, juicy, and well-seasoned, with a great balance of flavor from the sauce. The only downside was the excessive battering on the edges, which made some parts too dry and crunchy.
Fries – Standard, nothing particularly special, but well-cooked and tasty.
Overall Experience: We had a great first visit and will definitely return for takeout, though not too often because of the price. If they improve the portion sizes and speed up the prep time, it would be even better!
Strengths: Plenty of free parking Friendly and welcoming staff Simple, no-frills menu Excellent quality beef Great topping options Tasty onion rings Neat packaging with plenty of napkins
Opportunities for Improvement: Make the dining area warmer and more comfortable Prices are on the higher side Reduce wait times (maybe by adding more kitchen staff or improving prep efficiency) Increase portion sizes for onion rings and fries Avoid over-battering the chicken burgers
Would we recommend it? Yes! If you’re looking for a high-quality burger, this place is worth trying—just be prepared...
Read moreThis small, brightly lit burger joint is located in a plaza near the busy intersection of Markham and Lawrence. They serve halal burgers (check out the daily deals!) along with classics like wings and onion rings, milkshakes and funnel cakes. There's a bit of a wait but the food is fresh. I had the zesty fried chicken burger, a tasty mix of crunch and spice 🔥, along with the regular poutine. The gravy is pretty good. If you're not a fan of how cheese curds of traditional poutine can be rubbery and chewy, you'll like the texture of the shredded cheese.
I mainly wrote this review to commend their exceptional customer service. After I ordered and paid in cash, the cashier gave me back the wrong amount in change. As customers we should try our best to check our change with due diligence, but mistakes happen. I didn't notice the error until I left the counter and it was too late to contest the transaction. Also, the cash amount I paid wasn't entered in the register, so my receipt did not show the correct amount of change I should have received.
If you've been short-changed before at stores and restaurants, you might have experienced negative reactions where staff openly questioned you or became defensive and argumentative. So I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but I wrote to B Boyz later that night describing my experience. They responded immediately even though it was after hours, apologized, investigated the matter, apologized again and offered to reimburse me. When I returned to the store I was also offered a slice of cake on the house for my trouble. I was very impressed by the honesty and understanding of the staff, and how swiftly the matter was resolved.
Not every restaurant would do this. Be kind to food service workers, support local and visit...
Read moreI saw this place on Instagram and had to try it. It’s good food but not perfect. The spicy burger is really good. The cheeseburgers are good but I put to much topping on mine. Keep it simple it will taste better. Better yet get a double the burger the meat is very tasty. The blueberry shake was very good and with real blueberries. It would have been perfect with a little more blueberry flavour but trust me you will not be upset, it’s very good. The wings are great, especially the honey garlic ones.
The cheesy steak was great but I was a expecting a phily cheesesteak. It’s totally different. The steak is wet, soaked in juice or gravy and covered in melted cheese, and there is nothing wrong with any of that. It’s really good.
The bad is the fries. Don’t get me wrong they are average at best but could be so much better. They also forgot the extra sauce I paid for.
It’s a 4 and a half star restaurant. The food is really good and the prices are fair. There is an A&W in the same mall. It’s different food but it would be a toss up as to which is better. I was hoping the fries would be better, you know the kind of fries that hits the spot after a night of drinking. These are not those fries. I want to comeback for some cheese cake and regular cake. It’s the only thing I did not order and may have been a huge mistake on my part.
