I've never posted a bad review before, but this is too much. I've been going to this location ever since they opened in the plaza because I live nearby.
I ALWAYS order their taco salad bowl, sometimes beef, sometimes fish. I ALWAYS ask for extra lettuce because I'm allergic to Gluten, so I can't have rice or beans, otherwise I get really sick. I've never had a problem until today. As a matter of fact, I was there just yesterday, and the girl who served me was very sweet, but the gentleman there (who appeared to be the owner) was not understanding at all!
He refused to give me a little more lettuce and made it sound like I was lying when I said I buy from them all the time, (which I did not appreciate). I pointed at the girl in the kitchen and told him she served me YESTERDAY. He had nothing to say.
He then proceeded to put a VERY thin layer of lettuce at bottom (that I can still see the bottom of the bowl) and then the meat on top. I had more meat than anything else. You can't expect customers to just eat meat alone!
I wanted to just walk out of the store, but he already put the meat in the bowl and I didnt want to waste food, as I knew he probably would have thrown it out. My bowl and a drink costed me $18 dollars and as a result, I had to go to Walmart to spend MORE money on buy a bag of lettuce to add to it.
I don't usually complain about the little things, but this time was too much - especially when I just asked for a little more lettuce because I was allergic to the other choices. It's not like I asked for a lot - just a little. It was a VERY SMALL request!
It's sad to say that I will NOT be returning anymore. I've NEVER had a problem before or at ANY other location.
It's a shame that as a food/restaurant owner, you can't accommodate a small request because of people's health restrictions!
You can always charge people extra (like you already do for guacamole) if it's a cost inflation issue, but don't down right make it seem like the customer is lying.

A few days later we ordered from them again through skip as they are just up the street from where we live. It arrived in just 20 minutes!. She told me they only used fresh meat never frozen, good selection, lots of choices. I particularly enjoyed the jerk chicken in the quesadilla on our delivery a few days later. They package the large quesadilla in a pizza box (interesting). It was huge. I suggested they cut it up and use foil in between to put it in a regular box like they do at mucho burrito, my previous number one spot. The only thing I missed was the crispy jalapeno chips to crunch up and put as a topping. The regular chicken was a little bit mild so if you like a bit of spice I would suggest you upgrade to the medium spicy. Everything was very fresh and tasty. On my delivery order they gave me an extra sauce, a small brownish sauce that was so delish! I have to find out what it is when I go back there the next time. My BF ordered burritos and loved them too! He likes his spicy. Place is accessible right in Rexdale plaza in the same strip as Popeyes, next to Islington and hwy 401. Read moreThis restaurant is completely unprofessional. I went to use washroom then the person from inside shouted to me and insulted me in front of all other customers and stopped me to use washroom. I told him and requested him that I am a customer and even their delivery partner too but he arrogantly said that he wouldn’t allow to use washroom. I was shocked and surprised the way he treated me. I am writing here because the question is not only denying anything but there should be a way to deny. There are some norms and etiquettes of customer service especially in Canada and I mean it. I hope the business owner and the company will train their staff to behave with customers and especially delivery partners. Thanks 😊
I am adding in my review because owner considered my review seriously and I got an email about that and then owner changed the review in the favour of unprofessional behaviour of the restaurant’s person and puts the reason of pandemic but let me write here that everyone knows the seriousness of the pandemic and the way he insulted and denied was not appropriate at all and even his arrogance didn’t give any specific reason. Moreover, delivery partners are likely to be employees of the restaurant and I informed him about that as well but unfortunately he stuck to his way of arrogance.
