Hello,
I am writing to express my disappointment with an experience at your Popeyes location at 2261 Islington Ave, Etobicoke, ON.
When I visited the store, I needed to use the washroom, which had a code lock. I asked an employee for the code, and they told me the washroom is only for customers. My concern is: how can an employee know I am not a customer at that moment? I might have been planning to order after using the washroom. Denying access based on assumption is neither fair nor professional.
The cost of restroom use is minimal — a few cents at most — but refusing access risks losing customers who may spend $10 or more. I even visited the restaurant next door, which was nearly empty, and they immediately allowed me to use the washroom. This demonstrates how simple, courteous customer service works.
Employees come and go, but customers can stay loyal for life. This raises the question: is your priority your employees, your rules, or your customers? I am in the customer service industry myself, and I know the importance of going beyond limits to make customers feel valued. Perhaps Popeyes has overlooked this principle.
This was going to be my first visit to Popeyes, but I will not return. I will go to Tim Hortons or McDonald’s instead, as they clearly value customers over minor costs. I also will never promote Popeyes to anyone around me and will actively discourage others from going there.
I hope Popeyes reviews its policy and trains employees to handle such situations with courtesy and understanding. Customers — existing and potential — deserve to feel welcomed, not...
Read moreThis is my FAVOURITE location!! Consistently good and high food quality and taste!! Personable staff!! The manager there during my visit was THE BEST!! Courteous, polite, considerate, sincere while still being professional!!! Hands down, the best experience I have had at a Popeyes in 10 years!! Thank you so very much for your wonderful service!!
On a side-note: Thank you guys and gals (at this location) for not killing the chicken twice. I understand some people grew up eating Well Done meat. "To each, their own." But, when the chicken is like leather or wood, it is overly, over-cooked. Not everyone is under-educated in the culinary arts. Meat does not need to be burned or dry as cotton to be cooked sufficiently. People who know, KNOW.. Ontario has such high quality and clean meat, it is one of the few places in the world where we can enjoy MEDIUM Cooked Pork Tenderloin and not have to cook it Well Done. Please, continue not allowing a handful of under-informed patrons ruin good quality meat and meals for the majority of your...

Unfortunately my family loves Popeyes chicken. And we do order very frequently. This time I had an issue while mobile ordering. And instead of 4 fries, I requested one of front staff named Shahista, to replace 2 fries with coleslaw. She was next level rude and straight away she said its already packed and we cant replace. Since price of regular fries and coleslaw are same they shouldnt refused. Finally other gentleman came and given me right customer service. My disappointment is after this kind of issues they forgot to add biscuits as per my order. They forgot 2 times earlier orders as well. But I didn't Review. And this time I didn't check the order correction coz already had the issue and believed it must be correct. Cant believe one of the biggest food chain customer service is dying.
By this review, I hope next time we will get respectable customer service. I am gonna tag Popeyes on...
