What I love about Baroness (and why I would never go back to the Alley, and neither should you), is the QUALITY. Not just the drinks, but the standards of service and competence. It is so clear to me how important quality is to the owners (or the Yonge street manager), because it shines from top to bottom. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted in an authentic way. Not to compare, but before I discovered Baroness, I was going to the Alley daily. I was their best customer, whom they treated so poorly. Mistake after mistake, they didn't know how to respond, and I wasn't willing ot make a big fuss so I stopped going altogether (I was one of the people who had purchased something like the 60 drinks you needed to be part of their 10 year anniversary draw. Thousands of dollars spent). Anyway, I felt so disrespected by the staff who cared little and the managers who cared less, coupled to feeling sick from their tapioca balls, but I liked bubble tea so much, I kept drinking it. Several times, I asked what was in them, and no one knew or bothered to find out.

The first time I ordered from Baroness (last year), it was through DoorDash and there was a mix up. The employee drove over so fast to correct the mistake, I thought he took a jet-pack over. They were so kind and supportive. But not in a sales-y way. Just satisfying a high standard of service. Plus the tapioca balls are just incredible. Every time I go in now, I find the staff to be very competent, happy, and glad to work there. It is a tight ship, and it is noticed. I wish there were more locations closer to the midtown or north area, but perhaps soon. Absolutely love the organic options. It is absolutely the best (and non-toxic, as most other places are) bubble tea in Toronto. I have waited a full year or so before writing my review. I am not sure why other people are giving it 1 star. If there was a bubble tea connoisseur, I would be it. This place...

I ordered one drink and was waiting for my friend, he came in and really wanted to use the washroom urgently, he promised to buy drinks after because he actually really came to buy a drink so we can have a nice catch up but they wouldn’t let him use it, I even chimed in and offered to buy a drink while he uses the washroom (if they ever let him to), however the staffs kept saying “it’s only for customers”We had to end up leaving the place because we had to urgently find a washroom. I understand it’s a policy, but was really wishing (and will be highly appreciated) if they could let us use it be if it’s for urgent situation especially when both of us said we would buy a drink while or after using the bathroom (And we were 100% intended to). All these efforts to put a lock combination on the washroom? ?Now neither of us want to go back there and consume anything anymore… seriously if other customers walked in and had the same urgent situation, I’m sure they will appreciate you guys and buy a drink from you guys and tip the staffs even if they didn’t have the intention to buy a drink just for the sole purpose of the urgent washroom situation. For people like me that likes to share daily life on social media will definitely talk about how sweet the staff in the store is and strongly recommend people to come and tip the staffs..It really takes extra effort not to be nice…do better as human beings and understand each other when in needs. I’m sure any of us will face situation like this and it will be a better world if we all sometimes put ourselves in...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a local bubble tea shop that left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and fantastic customer service. The cute and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home, and I couldn't wait to dive into their extensive menu of bubble tea drinks.

Let's start with the drinks - simply put, they were outstanding. Each one was perfectly crafted with a balance of sweetness and flavor that left my taste buds dancing with delight. I tried several different drinks, each one with its unique twist, but my personal favorite was the classic milk tea with boba. The tapioca pearls were cooked to perfection, and the creamy milk tea was just the right amount of sweet.

But what really set this bubble tea shop apart was the incredible service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, always willing to answer any questions I had and provide excellent recommendations. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that every customer had a fantastic experience.

And, of course, I can't forget to mention the adorable atmosphere. From the bright and colorful decor to the whimsical bubble tea illustrations on the walls, every detail was carefully thought out and added to the overall charm of the shop.

Overall, I highly recommend this bubble tea shop for anyone looking for a delicious drink, excellent service, and a cute and inviting atmosphere. I give it a five-star rating and will definitely be...

可爱的爱情故事 Cute Love Story 🧋 🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋 I wanted to go back and try the milk tea with oatmilk but haven't had a chance yet as my plans were curbed this past weekend because of the convoy craze. Anyhow, a few weeks ago thanks to the @YelpToronto team a lot of us were able to spend some time and enjoy Baroness thank you! I had ordered the lychee paradise because I was interested in the workmanship and result of it, see photos... bottom layer is blue (butterfly pea flowers), lychee, and green tea...I added boba to be extra . It was really really yummy and as described, very refreshing. I had opted for no ice (it was sooo cold outside and less sugar). The girls took the time to chat with me when they didn't not have customers. I learnt that the owner (Taiwanese) had named the restaurant when thinking of his family, "baroness" to symbolize the powerful woman his wife is. You can see her on the logo where it looks like a teacup but it's in fact a ladies’ silhouette of her face. Alongside this, he incorporated a cat in the letter "B" (he had given her). I love the little story behind it, a little modern day love story and act of love for his wife. Cheers to that. Why little brown sugar as the name in Chinese? They are known for the their Brown Sugar Boba drink--with oat milk which I will try another day :). Oh! The little straw stab circle, I thought that was a nice touch 🥰 A great place to study, chat with friends or even go on a date 😉

ATTENTION ALL MATCHA LOVERS! When it comes to Matcha Latte Bubble Tea, Baroness takes the cake hands down. This review is only on their Matcha Latte with fresh milk and brown sugar pearls so I can’t speak on behalf of their other offerings. Taste is 12/10! The matcha is qualityyy and you can really taste the matcha flavour - it’s strong, a touch of bitterness and grassyness - it’s absolutely divine! Their brown sugar pearls are fresh, chewy (not hard at all) with the perfect amount of sweetness! I got my drink 30% sweetened and it was the perfect amount of sweetness! Also they put the tiniest pieces of ice which is also amazing because you get more of the drink than ice! Now for the price… ok this is the best matcha bubble tea I’ve had and I’ve tried most of their competitors in the city and Baroness surpasses by a mile but it’s pricer compared to other places. I paid $9.81 for their medium size. Definitely recommend this place! I will only be going Baroness from now on to get my Matcha Latte Brown Sugar Pearl Tea❤️
