An absolutely delicious experience! I was literally wandering downtown looking for lunch when I stumbled across Lebanon Express. The beautiful mounds of freshly made food waiting to serve the lunch crowd enticed me in. I was not looking for a beef kafta/kofta, but I had an unfulfilling kofta at another restaurant weeks earlier that made me want to have a do-over. I was initially told that the kafta would take 10-15 minutes and I honestly didn't want to wait that long. But the owner was there and told me that it was more like 7-10 minutes, but that's what you get for freshly made food. The price point of $15-16 before tax felt steep initially, but you might see from the picture that you get a lot of quality food. There is a wide selection of sides, freshly cooked onions and tomatoes to go with the kafta I really received all the fixings! The only drawback is that the kafta was a little on the dry side, but I think the owner cut them in half to cook them faster. Otherwise they were still very flavourful and hearty. The large portion certainly made up for the kafta as well as the wide selection of sides and wonderful flavours they all had. Excellent hospitality from the owner. Will definitely go there again.

This place was a stone's throw away from my hotel while on a business trip to Toronto and in spite of having had a less than stellar experience at a couple Middle Eastern eateries prior, this place looked intriguing enough to give it a shot. I am glad I did. Everything from the quality and freshness of the food to the smiling service was top notch. I am vegetarian so naturally had to try the falafel wrap. It was outrageously delicious. But what really stole the show for me was their roasted potatoes topped with hummus or garlic (or both!). Such a divine experience. And unlike another Mediterranean place in Texas (which I reviewed) where the smell of meat pervaded the vegetarian dishes these folks knew enough to not do that. I almost ended up eating here twice during a 1 week trip but yet another Middle Eastern eatery beckoned. But I will be back here should I ever find myself in this neck of the woods again.

I had always walked past this place at 6:45am on my way to the gym where I see an older gentleman who I’ve gotten to realize was the owner prep the food. One afternoon, I decided to walk in and he recognized me and even though he may look a bit intimidating, he’s actually the kindest soul! I can tell as a small business owner he works really hard and I hope he’s getting the credit he deserves. His staff is also really polite, helping me as I decided what I wanted to eat. The portions were huge, delicious and great value for what you get. The chicken shawarma is quite popular, though I’m more of a kafta person. Either way, both were excellent choices and you can’t go wrong with the plates or wrap. The atmosphere feels like I’m transported to another country. Definitely this Lebanese feeling of home in the food. This is quite the gem and I highly recommend it for the food and the best service :)

We stopped by Lebanon Express to grab a quick lunch to-go as it was near our hotel. There is a fantastic selection of freshly made foods available to choose from. The service was good although a little hurried even though there was no one behind us in line. The prices were good for the amount of food received. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and check it out!

I chose the falafel plate with a choice of three salads, plus two veggie samosas. We weren’t starving and this ended up being a fair amount for the two of us to share. The salad selection was amazing. Unfortunately, nothing was labeled as I would have loved to have known what they were, but there were so many brightly colored and delicious looking options to choose from.

We had a potato and sautéed vegetable salad (warm), which was a little disappointing and the only thing I wasn’t wild about. We were kind of hurried through the line so the gentleman helping us suggested this and I just said sure, but I wish I hadn’t. The other two salads we had were so much better. One was a PHENOMENAL kale salad with apples and cranberries, in a DIVINE vinaigrette dressing. Honestly one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. The third was also excellent, with tomatoes and other veggies in a light dressing. All of this came with some fun pickled vegetables like red onion and cucumbers, and a few delicious sauces.

The falafel was delicious and well-made, as were the samosas, which were served with delicious hummus. Everything we tried, except the warm potato and vegetable option, was excellent. The flavors were amazing, and everything was fresh. I would highly recommend stopping by Lebanon Express, and if you do, PLEASE get the kale...

Lebanon Express, nestled along the vibrant Yonge Street in Toronto, offers an enchanting culinary experience that celebrates the rich flavors of Lebanese cuisine. As you step inside, the inviting atmosphere exudes warmth and sophistication, blending traditional Middle Eastern decor with contemporary elegance.

The menu is a delightful homage to Lebanese gastronomy, featuring an impressive array of dishes that cater to both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The mezze platter, a must-try, showcases an exquisite selection of hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabbouleh, each expertly crafted to tantalize the palate. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable, with vibrant herbs and spices harmonizing beautifully.

For mains, the grilled meats are truly exceptional. The shish tawook, marinated to perfection, is tender and juicy, while the lamb chops boast a rich flavor profile that speaks to the chef's skill. Vegetarian options are equally commendable, with dishes like the stuffed grape leaves offering a delightful burst of flavor.

The attentive service complements the dining experience, with staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about the cuisine, providing thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that every guest feels valued.

To conclude your meal, the selection of traditional desserts, such as baklava and knafeh, provides a sweet ending that leaves a lasting impression.

In summary, Lebanon Express is not just a restaurant; it is a celebration of Lebanese culture and hospitality. Perfect for an intimate dinner or a festive gathering, this gem on Yonge Street is a destination that promises to delight the senses and create...

Stumbled upon this amazing hole in wall this evening while scouting for late night restaurants near the hotel I am staying. It's truly a gem of Toronto. I'll fall short on words when I say how friendly, courteous and generous the staff was at the restaurant. I have tried innumerous upscale restaurants here in Toronto during my professional and personal visits over the years. This restaurant by far will always stand out among the most memorable experiences of Toronto. The staff is immediately inviting. They make an effort to connect with you as a human and not just a returning customer. Despite their extrordinarily busy counter, they took the time and effort to ask abt my well being late into the night and on an unexpectedly chilly May night. They offered me and SERVED me many of their delicacies. They don't expect a tip but how could I leave without a generous tip at the counter. The food besides customer service demands its own separate food review. But here it is: The food is beyond mouth watering, beyond sumptuous and beyond "variety". Food is all of it and more. I will be visiting this Toronto's gem in future. Kudos to the staff working so late and hard into the night with passion, enthusiasm and love for their work. My heartfelt congratulations to the owners of the facility. The world is a better place because of such people with a beautiful heart. A heartfelt thank you from a short-term visitor of Toronto. You made my trip all the more worthwhile. All the best for running a successful business with a heart. I give...
