Big Trio Wonton Noodle 2361 Brimley Rd, Unit D2 Scarborough, ON M1S 1K6 Date visited : Sunday October 22, 2023 Overall Rating for experience : 3/5
Comments : First time visiting this resto. It is newly opened. It was very packed when we visited around 12pm - 1pm
Service : 4/5 Service was friendly enough, staff spoke ok English. Service is relatively fast.
Food : 3/5 It was a party of 2, just wifey and myself. We ordered Beef Brisket noodle soup (egg noods) $11.00 and Vegetable Lo Mein (egg noods) $12.00. Wifey enjoyed her Beef Brisket noodle soup. Brisket was tender. Brisket added nice flavor to the soup. As for the Vegetable Lo Mein, the soup on the side was good, only 1 type of vegetable, choy sum, I think it was and also served with oyster sauce. The noodles had a slight funky aroma along with, due to the fast service, the noodles I feel were just quickly blanched to reduced the funky smell. Also the egg noodles were a bit on the dry side. You can get extra noodles for $3.50
PSA for those with GOUT : there might not be much you could enjoy here, unless you have your meds handy. Available proteins : Beef, beef tendon, beef tripe, shrimp w/pork wonton, pork, cuttlefish balls, dace fish balls. No chicken options. I thought the Shrimp wonton would be a safe option..but I asked and the shrimp is mixed with pork for the wonton. The only items I found safe were plain noodle soup and the Vegetable Lo Mein.
NOTE : Due to managing gout, I am unable to review beef or pork protein or animal innards foods. Along with Anything that has commercial baked bread, and asian dishes with soy sauce and oyster/hoisin sauce.
Drinks : A tea was provided when we sat down, tho not sure what type of tea. I did not drink it due to the caffeine content
Portion Size Value for Money Spent : 2/5 The beef brisket noodle soup was a good portion for $11 CAD. However the Vegetable Lo mein at $12 CAD feels like a rip off, there is no protein component.
Worth a repeat visit : For me, yes, if I'm hankering for a hot bowl of noodle...

It’s a full quick service restaurant. They bring the tea, napkin and chopsticks to your table. The menu is situated right in-front of you beneath the glass of the table.
One can view the kitchen from the dining room area. The Server was attentive the moment you stepped foot through their door. She even opened the door for us as we walked inside. The restaurant looks inviting and modern with bamboo plants welcoming you at the entrance.
For the price paid, the proportion was filling in comparison to their competitors. The shrimp wonton was huge and delicious. The bowl was completely filled with noodles.
The beef brisket was so unbelievably tender. I didn’t even need a knife. Chopsticks was enough. But please use a knife if you are feeding little ones to be in the safe side.
Once you are done, you can ask for the bill. Your Server will present you with the bill and collect your payment from you right at your table. I’m not sure if they take credit cards as I paid with cash. No cash, no problem as CIBC is in the same shopping plaza as this restaurant.
Wonderfully located in Chartwell Plaza. You can pickup groceries at Bestco, grab drinks at Tim Hortons or Real Fruits before or after eating at Big Trio Wonton Noodle.
Disabled parking is right across the restaurant. There is a push button to open the double doors.
They sell raw shrimp wontons to go if you wish to cook...
Read moreIf you are looking for a quick bit to eat and not worrying to much about atmosphere but just good service and a no thrills meal? This is the place. I came to the previous wonton restaurant before this one at the same location and had a bad experience with e service so I was about worried trying. This time no problems, staff can speak English and Cantonese (not sure about Mandarin, there no Mandarin speaking customers when I was there) and the table and kitchen staff was very fast). I ordered the shrimp wonton noodles in soup and added extra noodles because I was really hungry. Once ordered, it was prepared and was served to me within 5 mins. It came with 4 large shrimp wontons, you can see the whole shrimps inside and had a little crunchiness when you bit into them which is good thing and tasted great with red vinegar. The noodles and soup I can say didn't have much flavor to them. I don't think they use MSG so that's also a plus. Parking can be hard during busy times because it's parking is shared with TD Bank . Seating is about 10 tables of four and spaced out (non crowded). I have to say, I was happy eating here, shrimp wontons are acceptable to me, noodles could have some flavor to them but I can live with it. I will definitely will come back for lunch because from start to finish eating and back to work was under 30mins so that's a plus for short lunch breaks like...
