I really wanted to like Bluffs Pizza Pub and was hoping it would be a great addition to the neighbourhood, but unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired.
We started with the calamari appetizer, which took forever to arrive—so long, in fact, that it came out with our pizza. At that point, it wasn’t really an appetizer anymore. The batter was burnt and overly crunchy, far from what calamari should be. We ended up eating most of it simply because we couldn’t justify wasting $16.99.
The pizza was another letdown. It took almost 40 minutes to arrive, and when it did, the dough was raw and chewy. The toppings weren’t fully cooked, which is disappointing for something coming out of a wood-fired oven. Wood-fired pizza requires skill and precision, and unfortunately, that wasn’t reflected in our meal. We had to take most of it home and finish cooking it in the air fryer.
To top it off, service was painfully slow. Even my glass of wine took forever to arrive, and they were out of two of the wines listed on the menu. Not a huge issue, but still frustrating.
I really hope Bluffs Pizza Pub improves both their food and service because the potential is there. But based on my experience, I wouldn’t rush back anytime soon... especially after dropping...
Read moreThis pizzeria is quite new and is still an undiscovered gem! My husband and I have eaten here a few times now and it has been consistently excellent. We love pizza and have sampled pizzas from many gourmet pizzerias and I would say that Bluffs Pizza Pub pizza is right up there with any of the best we have had anywhere. The crust is perfect! We have not tried any of the appetizers but the two salads they offer- a house and a Caesar- are both very fresh and delicious, dressed with the perfect amount of dressing. The service is attentive, friendly and competent. They have specials each night which are awesome. We love the Thursday night special, when bottles of wine are half price. Where in Toronto can you get a good bottle of wine for $22.00? The answer is Thursday nights at Bluffs Pizza Pub. This is a wonderful addition to the area, where good restaurants are not that...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience at Bluffs Pizza Pub on Saturday night! The wood oven pizza was absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of char. The garlic bread was a great appetizer, warm, buttery, cheesy and full of flavor. We also enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and had a delicious dressing.
Our waitress, Centle, was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for a night out. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Bluffs Pizza Pub to anyone looking for great food and excellent...
