I am some what a regular here, and i was not pleased with my experience for a friday night, which is supposedly the later hours of operation nights. My server whom im guessing was new (never saw her there before) did not acknowledge questions being asked as the order was being placed they were just making agreement sounds with their mouth, even though they were questions that needed answers. Anyway so my partners glass smelled like a mouldy dirty dishcloth. She brought another one, which was good. Then the food came but my steak was so dry even though it was to be cooked as medium. I had even ordered Sauteed mushrooms and onions to make it more juicy and flavourful, but even with the added extra onion and mushroom it was all so dry. And then to top it off, they were rushing me to pay, while i was still eating because it was like 20 minutes to closing 1:40 am cause they wanted to go home right by 2 am. This is unacceptable to harrass an eating customer to pay regardless of how close it is to closing time. And then it was implied to hurry up eating so the dishwasher can go home too. No. This is friday night, the hours are until 2 am. You shouldnt be trying to rush out the door for 2 am on a friday night if you still have a dining customer. Maybe if theres no one, but not if you have a customer. The customer should only be approached for payment if it has not been received by the last 5 or 10 minutes prior to the end of posted hours of operation. Not 20 minutes prior so that they can still leave by 2 am or earlier as if there isnt a customer. This would clearly be the manager's poor judgement to have his employees harrass a dining customer while there was still plenty of time left before customer hours of operation are over. The management should have been glad they had a customer and realized that no, we cant go home today right at closing or earlier today like we do on other days when there are no customers close to closing. we have a customer and they are here within our posted hours on one of our later/longer hours of operation days. Like relax its Friday night, you dont need to stress out the customers at any point of time if its prior to 2 am. Your staff dont need to be right out the door at 2 am, as if its any other day with earlier hours and there isnt customers. Very bad service lately... been coming...
Read moreSome friends & I decided to go for lunch 08/15. The menus were very expensive… overwhelming as there was so much to choose. I ordered the steak bites hoping for a protein filled meal. What I got was so very disappointing. It was half of french stick with about six shavings of beef that were no more than 2 inches long, a scant bit of cheese and some french fries for $13.99. Adding insult to injury I ordered a coffee… $3.99 for one cup also disappointing, no refills offered. The final insult? I’m in a wheelchair & tried to use the “accessible”washroom. The handicap access sign was on the door but in a wheelchair, & without a door opener I wasn’t able to open the door. NOT AODA compliant. I tried to veer my wheelchair in the very small corridor between the men’s and women’s washrm but still could not get the door to open. I had to wait until I saw a server go by (some time passed as it was not a very busy time even tho it was lunch). I had to have this male server go into the washrm & hold the door open from inside so I could get in with my wheelchair. I also had to have the server return to hold the door open so I could exit. Altogether, an extremely disappointing experience. if you’re in a wheelchair don’t go to 400 progress Boston Pizza the front door is accessible, the bathrooms are not. The food I got was mediocre; the quantity of beef on the steak dip sandwich, almost non-existent. I guess I know why it was such a long time since I have frequented this establishment. A thoroughly disappointing experience! I wouldn’t recommend Boston Pizza to anyone who is physically challenged. ...
Read moreOur Kanata Rangers Bantam C girls hockey team was in Scarborough this past weekend for a hockey tournament. (Yes, we won the gold just in case you were wondering!!) We had a late lunch at BP on Friday and it was great. Very attentive staff, quick service and good (and hot) food. We sat down and immediately all had glasses of water in front of us and then jugs of water to follow. Drink orders taken immediately and filled promptly. Food orders taken quickly and amazingly, we were pretty much all served at the same time- which never happens. The bills were handed out before we had to beg for them and as far as I know, NO MISTAKES!! You don’t understand how mind-blowing this is! This competitive hockey team travels a lot. We eat out EVERYWHERE. We've tried everything. And inevitably there’s an issue- slow service, rudeness because they don’t like big groups, unorganized, cold food, messed up bills, people eating in 4 different time zones. But this was the definition of a perfect experience. We have incredible girls. They’re 14 year old polite, happy, enthusiastic young women and athletes. They enjoy time at these tournaments and going out to eat is their bonding time off the ice. As parents, we’re proud to be raising such wonderful young ladies. So when we go away and have great experiences like a nice hotel, good food and service AND go home with a gold medal, we know we’re doing the right thing. Thank you so much to the two young men who were serving us! I think one was named Thomas? Sorry if I’m wrong!!! Claire...
