Brioche Dorée — Restaurant in Toronto

My husband and I visited a café while he was getting a haircut nearby. We decided to sit down for a coffee and weren’t there for more than 15 minutes when an employee from the café approached us abruptly and insisted we leave. When I asked for a reason, he stated it was to make room for other customers, despite there being two other available tables nearby.

Additionally, two women seated next to us, who had been there for over an hour, confirmed they hadn’t been asked to leave. Regardless, the employee persisted, becoming increasingly invasive and standing over us as I attempted to gather our belongings. To make matters worse, he made rude comments about my six-year-old son while I was tending to my newborn.

The experience felt entirely unwarranted and discriminatory. I am deeply disappointed in how we were treated and will not be returning to this café...

The owner/manager - grey hair- Chinese looking guy(description). He is really rude. I just asked for a glass of water politely, and he started to lecture me, I left his shop politely-without any argument and he got offended that I didn’t listen his full lecture, although i’m there regular customer. He even followed me to my store to lecture more and came inside my store where I work(felt like a creep), to lecture me again and told me very rudely that they will nor serve me if I go to their shop again and that I should not visit there. I work at the mall and used to get Brioche regularly but this is how they’ve begun to give their food. A small container is not filled up cause it’s “weighed” although I did not see the girl put it on any weighing scale at all. When I told her I come here almost everyday and that is not how it is- she stood there staring at my face, no response, no smile, nothing. This is the last time I’ll be having Brioche and I’m showing my co-workers as well so they know better than to spend their money and not get its worth.
