Upscale coffee bakery in an area with dingy options... I have gone to the King location more but this location is an oasis in a sea of dingy mediocrity on Dundas. The Grange is gross, your only option is two very small and busy Tim Hortons nearby that you wouldn’t want to sit in. Cafe Plenty is an upscale spot (with, yes upscale prices) but really you’re paying for a clean quiet place to have a civil conversation (friend or business meeting) or a moment to enjoy what is a great coffee or really delicious baked good (I had an omelette tart today that reminded me why their slightly higher prices are truly justified).

Went this morning with an older friend. Was just after 10:00am, so they only had a handful of breakfast items left. My friend wasn't keen on those, so she opted for the egg salad sandwich on a dark rye bread. It came with a generous amount of mixed greens salad on a plate. I had a panini bun with several types of cold cuts in it. This also came with a mixed greens salad on the plate. We both ordered single shots Americano coffee, which I found quite strong. While we both enjoyed what we had, I was a little shocked to pay $14 and change for my coffee and sandwich plate. That alone would keep me from going back.

Shady place. Doesn’t have prices on the menu, went there expecting the sandwiches to be $6-8, turned out to be $14. They don’t have prices on their menu. The sandwich was like an airport sandwich dry and didn’t have much taste and too much bread in proportion to the filling. It comes with a small side of salad which was decent but the dressing from the salad leaked all over the sandwich. Go across the street to the food court, you will be much happier with the food

I work in one of the buildings close to this cafe and usually grab a coffee during the afternoon every so often. I will not be doing so anymore since the incident yesterday. Sadly, I saw a man who I am assuming is one of the employees go up to a black woman outside who was sitting in one of the chairs in front of their coffee shop (she looked to be an office worker and she was on the phone and taking a break). He proceeded to yell at her to leave as the sitting area was for only customers. I pass by the shop regularly and have seen other people sit there of all shapes and sizes without a bother but I felt very uncomfortable as to why he was targeting this young lady. I love to support local businesses but not ones who have employees that yell at people. I will be taking my...
