This has been my 2x ordering from this place. The first time my husband recommended it as I never had a roti before, 😂 I ordered the jerk chicken roti & my husband ordered the shrimp roti & curry chicken. A nice woman answered the door as we followed covid protocols we placed our order & she said it would be 20 mins, no problem as we waited in the car. 20 mins came my husband went in to get the order & we drove home to eat. I opened my eyes and was like “woah, this is huge”. I cut my roti in half and omg it was delicious, tender pieces of jerk chicken & potatoes inside I was in love. My husband loved his choices as well. We both couldn’t believe that this place has been here 32 years & I’m finding out about it now, thanks hubby, 😂 The second time I ordered was through Skip The Dishes & Again they didn’t disappoint me. I ordered 3 jerk chicken roti’s and again moist pieces of jerk chicken & potatoes my taste buds were in Heaven, once again. I highly recommend this place to ANY who has NOT tried a roti before or has. It’s a delicious place. I’ll be back 100% Keep Up The Great...

Very disappointed in a restaurant that was rated 4.2 stars. We tried the shrimp and goat roti, as well as the doubles. The only thing that had flavour was the hot sauce they served on the side, everything else was completely bland as if they didn't use spices or seasoning. Any goat that was in the roti was dry, with no seasoning or sauce, and instead was filled with huge pieces of potato. There were very few shrimp in the roti, and they were mini and overcooked. Usually a saving grace, even the doubles were flavourless and had the texture of overcooked canned beans. It was almost impossible to tell they were actually chickpeas and it seemed as though the filling was very old. Will definitely not be returning since Toronto has so many other wonderful affordable...

Chose this place as it appeared to be highly rated. Unfortunately I must say that my experience here was extremely sub par to say the least. Me and my partner both got the chicken roti as well as some pholourie. The pholourie was alright for it's price. The chicken roti however was extremely poorly made. Nearly everything about the main dish was wrong in some form. First the chicken was lacking any form of seasoning and did not seem marinated at all and was extremely bland. The potatoes were undercooked and the curry was far too runny. The roti skin was a disappointment as well and tasted oddly sweet. Nearly everything about the roti was disappointing and I don't like to waste food but this dish was impossible for me to finish. I will not be...

This place was a disappointment. I believe I have a fair judgement of this from growing up in a Trini household. The food was warm and the roti skin was sweet, which sadly is all I can give it. The curry itself was running and almost watery. Even the potatoes weren’t cooked all the way. The chicken was pink and you can tell wasnt marinated. I don’t think I’ve even been to a Caribbean place that doesn’t marinate their chicken over night. The food was ready fairly quick, I just wish they took some more time to actually cook it properly.
