Chungchun Rice Hotdog Stockyards — Restaurant in Toronto

Avoid this location!! I went here on April 10th, 2025, and had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. I ordered two potato hotdogs with half mozzarella cheese, and despite it not being busy at all, I still waited 10 minutes.

When my order was finally ready, the guy working — Jason — just handed it to me with an attitude, and I noticed one of the hotdogs was missing the potato topping I specifically asked for. I kindly asked if he could remake it, since I clearly ordered two with potatoes (and got charged for them!), but instead of fixing the mistake, he straight-up refused and insisted I only ordered one with potatoes.

No apology, no accountability — just, “That’s your order.” Really? It’s not that hard to own up to a mistake and fix it. Then, when I said fine, I’ll just take it, he rudely shoved the hotdog at me and even splashed sauce on it carelessly.

This place has zero customer service and clearly doesn’t train their staff properly. I was genuinely pissed off. Save yourself the frustration —...

Ordered a Potato Hot Dog (right) and Half Mozzarella Half Hot Dog (left). Both with BBQ and teriyaki sauce on top. Both were good. The half/half isn't split like how the photo is shown (a lengthwise cut hot dog with mozzarella filling it's other half), it was actually mozzarella cheese for the top half and then half a hot dog for the bottom half (poorly pictured). No complaints from me but if I had eaten it normally I would have thought I received one of the cheese only options by mistake.

I had to wait maybe 5mins after my order to receive it which isn't super long but would have appreciated the heads up. I'm guessing they just started a new batch since there was already a person waiting when I walked in.

Paid for potatoes with my order but instead they wrote on my receipt that they didn’t do it cause they were too busy to make it for me, but was still charged for it. They gave a random Diet Coke but I can’t even drink pop, and that is definitely not an equal trade. Being too busy is not a valid reason to not complete a customers order how they requested, especially if your taking someone’s money for it!!! Overall extremely disappointed with the service of this place and probably won’t come back if that’s how they treat customers.

UPDATE!!!!: They never tried and make things right like their comment says. I sent them an email the next day after they posted their comment to my review only for them to never email me back. That was back on April 25, which was over 3 weeks ago!!! Terrible...
