TLDR; GOT AN ALLERGIC REACTION.
I ordered the Honeydew Jasmine Milk Tea w/Tea Jelly and worker A told me it was with Honey Jelly now, not Tea Jelly. I found it weird that this was not stated or shown anywhere; I didn't mind changing toppings, however, I have a honey allergy. I expressed this to them and worker B immediately said "It's fake honey". Worker A seemed shocked, but Worker B was adamant that it was fake honey and would not let me get an alternative topping.
After I paid, I still felt uneasy, so I asked again, letting them know I wasn't comfortable with the risk as I am allergic, and asked politely if I could please swap toppings. As Worker A was about to say yes, worker B chimed in and said "No, we don't allow substitutions, only add-ons". I clarified further "Even if I have an allergy?", she said yes and walked away. The workers thought I don't understand Cantonese, but I do, and I heard Worker A question Worker B a few times if it really wasn't real honey, to which she said "Yeah it's just sugar syrup".
When I got home and had my drink, I had a bad allergic reaction. I don't know which would have been worse - if
These workers are not properly trained, as I have always been able to swap items if it is due to dietary restrictions. This was two female Cantonese workers on October 21st around 5pm. This service is unacceptable and I hope it does not happen to anyone who has...
Read moreThe customer is never honoured here. I asked for less milk in my drink, which isn't a huge request. I'm not asking for a custom made concoction, just less milk so I can taste my tea. I was told that they cannot alter any recipe at all or they will get fired! Apparently they think their exact recipes are perfection for everyone. I was told if they alter the taste at all they will get in trouble, and I said it was mine to taste, and I wish for less milk and it was repeated that they will get fired if they fulfil the request. ANY where you go you can ask for as much or little milk as you wish... but not here. They refuse to listen to how customers may like it, they force you to accept how THEY want it even though it is not them drinking it. That's a...
Read moreWe bought regular size brown sugar pearl milk tea with extra brown sugar tapioca and the drink is not up to the level as the drink is so watery/thin, and the brown sugar tapioca feels like plain tapioca when we chew it. We bought couple of times in a month, first time we thought it could be genuine mistake, but we got the same quality the second time. We find no issue with customer service but the quality of the drink, in terms of the price we are paying for. Including tips, the price of the drink comes little over $10, which is almost equal to basic meal...
