Eggsmart — Restaurant in Toronto

You know that moment when you pull into your favourite breakfast spot and the parking lots full, restaurant looks packed and you immediately think I won’t even get it today. Well that was the case this morning minus the not getting in part thankfully. This Eggsmart most definitely stands out from the rest in every way. The owners are always hands on making things run as smoothly as possibly each and every day and seem to know the regulars orders my heart including mine which help. I’ve been coming to this location for approximately 4 months or so and not once have I ever been disappointed. The meals are always hot, fresh and portions are incredible. The cooks are always on point as are the incredible servers. It seems rare these days to actually have servers who take pride in their jobs let alone enhance your dining experience. Recently over the past month they made an addition to their staff, a young student named Clarice I believe who most definitely has been a great addition to the team and truly has become one of the Eggsmart family. Getting to see the process from her first day with how the owners trained her to present day has been awesome. Watching the progress and confidence grow daily has also been quite awesome see. Brings me back to my first job and being so shy and nervous not to mess up . Like I said the owners are always hands on and most definitely invested in their staff in the way they train them and treat them. Today was yet another day proving that statement as they had a full house nonstop and yet again the Eggsmart staff delivered amazingly and seamlessly. Hats off to them all, and extra thank you today to Clarice for being so helpful and accommodating. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and from how this staff treat you that statement rings true. If you don’t believe come check it out for yourself. My first brunch at eggsmart was a delightful and an enriching experience. Though at first I was held back that their was no Cuttlery on my table and the coffee was not refilled on time, but as soon as I pointed it out to their friendly staff they were quick to make amends. I had their Nutella Pancakes and home made fries with some cheese, onion and green chilli. Their are three things that really set a place apart for me for an amazing dinning experience, first is ability to cater to ones needs and second is the quality of food and third is service. I ordered some home fries without onion, cheese and green chilli, to be honest I was a little apprehensive in trying them at first as I like my home fries the way they are, but after tasting them from my friends plate. I wanted them too lol (they are that good) I asked the server about it and she was quick to modify my order to my liking, then while I was leaving I wanted to take some left overs with me as the quantity and quality was too good to resist. While leaving the resturant the person at the exit right behind the counter saw me leaving with a plastic box in my hand. He quickly stepped out of the counter and offered me a plastic bag, I was like WOW! That's some 5 star service right their, I asked him his name. He is Jag, amazing, friendly person ready to go an extra mile for his clients! I highly recommend this place and am definitely visiting again! Enjoy the Royal...

This is my favourite Eggsmart. And I do not say this lightly. First, because I live near the Danforth and drive by six other Eggsmart locations to get to this one. Secondly, I was allergic to eggs and never acquired a taste for them, which renders 95% of most breakfast menus verboten to me. I’ve also looked over several reviews on this place and wonder where these whiny overgrown children have come from. You didn’t get whipped cream on your breakfast quick enough? You think the décor is too dowdy to put into words? I’m horrified that the wait staff isn’t dressed up as clowns for your amusement and the interior doesn’t look like a set out of Beatlejuice.

I’ve found there’s always a table available. That the staff is attentive, polite, and can’t do enough for you. That the coffee is excellent and bottomless. The food is fresh, tasty, and quick to the table. And, when I order a fresh fruit option, I always get way more fruit than at any other location. That is a triple bonus to me, besides being a great way to start the day. And as for the restaurant not being remodelled, I remember what this building used to be and am happy it wasn’t torn down like a lot of other places. So, three cheers for this Eggsmart.
