This is the most unsatisfactory and inadequate Pizza Pizza franchise I have ever been to as it is unfortunate that people actually go to this location.
I ordered the large pizza, 3 sodas, a movie ticket deal for $14.99, and a side of cup sized onion rings, a simple order, nothing complicated. My girlfriend and I were suppose to catch a movie 5 minutes away from this location that started at 9:10PM and we expected to wait 20 minutes for the whole order as it was only approximately 8:30PM when we arrived. This is a non-exhaustive list of the problems we encountered.
The cashier did not know if this promotion still existed. However, we presented a valid flyer, the advertisement was literally on the TV screen behind him promoting it, the movie tickets were sitting under the counter, and this info should be known as it is basically the most popular deal at the moment.
My girlfriend and I asked for pepperoni, green peppers, and mushrooms as toppings, and less cheese for ONE half due to dietary restrictions. Somehow, the cashier puts everything half, as a result, one half had toppings and the other half did not. It was upsetting but not a big deal.
We tell the cashier the drinks we want, but he was insistent to give it to us after we get our pizza. Note during this whole time he was rude, impatient, and had zero people skills as he replied to a different customer order with "what size what size what size".
NOTE: We were really confused about how we would get into the movies without a ticket because we were not given one upon paying until we repeatedly asked where our movie ticket was. It was given to us towards the end of our long wait (Explained at the end).
After asking 10 minutes later after taking our order, we watched him put our onion rings in the fryer with no gloves on after touching money, the cash register, and basically everything else. We decided to eat our pizza while we wait, and after finishing 90% of it, we realize 15 minutes later we are still missing our onion rings. I turn around and see the batch of nearly burnt rings hanging on the fryer.
NOTE: The pizza consisted of a quarter of crust (I have photo proof)
Even with the wait, we calmly and patiently ask the cashier where our onion rings were, he goes to the batch hanging from the fryer and dumps it into the tray as I see it is coherently cold and near burnt but he still puts it into a cup, then into a paper bag and squeezes/crumples the top thinking we would not see it.
I accept it, but I knew it was a lost cause to begin with so I ask some customers what they think of the rings, they all agreed. I return and kindly ask him to remake it, he does, but again, no gloves. Now it is about 30 mins into our wait, and there were other customers around but the incompetent employee decides to "crack open a cold one" and takes a seat while our second batch of rings were still in the fryer.
While we wait even longer, now about 40 minutes in, we see another employee in the back sit on a metal counter (most likely where they knead the dough) and goes onto his phone while customers were still waiting for their order as well.
Finally! I knew our rings were over cooked once again, but at this point we were fed up, took the rings and left, then disposed of it in the parking lot out of frustration because we missed our movie, waited approximately 45 minutes to an hour, were treated poorly, and were utterly appalled.
Rather than causing a scene at the restaurant, asking for a refund, and get treated poorly another time, I preferred to take to take the $20 loss and contact corporate and leave a review. Upon reading other reviews, there were similar complaints. Within this experience, I have seen numerous regulations regarding Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) violated on Saturday,...
Read moreHad very bad experience dining at this pizza pizza(Victoria and sheppard intersection). I requested the senior lady with whitish hair(don't know her name) to clean the table(table was very dirty) but she immediately refused saying that person who cleans has gone home, she can do if there's no customer but won't do now as there are customers. There were actually no other customers waiting behind me.She then gave me paper napkins so that I can clean that by myself.Holding my toddler kid on one arm I cleaned my table with the other hand.It took me 20 seconds to wipe it clean but the staff lady didn't have 20 seconds.
After getting pizza, she gave us few paper plates saying that she doesn't have more.Owner doesn't provide enough supplies. She talked further criticizing the owner that owner doesn't care even if I tell them.I told her that you are representing this store so we can tell this to you and you can further tell your owner. She said store is 25 yrs in business, get so many customers everyday. It doesn't matter to the owners. I said that as a customer I have very basic expectations from you-to provide a clean table to sit and eat and get just enough supplies of plates. It doesn't end here.My kid wanted a straw for soft drink. My mom went to this lady again asking a straw. She shooked her head in annoyance saying we don't have straws. She went to some drawer and picked up straw and gave to my mom.(why she had to display contempt when you have the straw...learn some basic respect towards your customers) I have been to numerous pizza outlets, restaurants before and have never seen such terrible attitude and poor customer service. I told her that I will be submitting my review online as I can't speak to the owner right now. It's no surprise that she was later requesting other customers to give a good review online. What a manipulative tactic on her part.
I took my time writing this so that her attitude and behavior can change or the staff could change. There are other pizza outlets in area with great customer service and food. This is the closest pizza pizza to my home but I will definitely not take anything from this store and will tell my friends...
Read moreWe ordered 20 classic chicken wings (with extra sauces) and a medium pepperoni pizza. There was an older lady at the cash desk who was really impatient and rude when she took our order. We waited about 20 minutes for our food to be ready. I took a moment to glance into the boxes to make sure that we had gotten the right order. I was taken aback to find that the wings were not just visibly overdone to a blackish brown colour but smelled burnt as well. I waited patiently to explain to this same lady that the wings were burnt. She insisted that she had only fried them for 5 minutes and that was the actual colour of the wings when she took them out of the frozen packet. She went a step further to show us another set of wings from another person's order which looked exactly like ours. We could only tell her that we had never gotten such burnt wings from any other Pizza Pizza place and she had probably burnt the wings from the other person's order too. We left this place very disappointed having spent a good amount of money on badly cooked food. The pizza crust was also badly burnt along the edges and we had to cut off those areas to get some decent tasting food. It was the first time we had bought food from this Pizza Pizza. We had intended to buy a family christmas meal from the Swiss Chalet up the road but it was closed for Christmas. In future, we will stick to the Pizza Pizza that is located near where we live and don't recommend this particular...
