Fat Bastard Burrito Co. — Restaurant in Toronto

We didn’t have a great experience ordering from here. We used Door Dash so weren’t able to watch them make our burritos. We ordered 1 chicken, 1- crispy fish, 1-Vegan sweet potato. The food arrived quickly but the Vegan sweet potato burrito was full of cheese, the chicken was ok but the “mild” salsa was really exceedingly hot. And the Fish….oh the fish 🙁 I thought at first that they had forgotten to add the crispy fish as I was eating mostly flavorless beans and rice. When I did get to the bottom 3rd of my boring burrito I found the Chewy tiny piece of mystery fish that smelled like Lake Ontario and tasted like a catchers mitt. There was basically no flavors apart from the sporting equipment. ⚾️ We called the store to try and make it right. They had a hard time understanding me and offered to make the Vegan burrito again however I would have to come and pick it up. If I was willing to drive I wouldn’t have ordered delivery now would I? They said because it was a delivery app I’d have to take it up with them as they couldn’t generate a replacement order from their end. All in all I would not order from there again. There’s lots of better options. In a pinch I guess id consider ordering in person so you can watch them screw up you order first hand. 👎🏽 thumbs down. Do not recommend. Update Oct/24. Original post below. Still 5 stars across the board. Just wanted to add that this location is amazing at handling busy periods. Was there today (Wednesday - so 6.99 small burritos!), and the place was packed. Deservedly so - food and customer service is terrific here. They were taking in-person orders; handling delivery orders; grilling the burritos; refilling all the toppings - all with smiles. And with efficiency. Just wanted to say how impressed I was! Total grace under pressure.

(Original Post): Favourite location! I make a point of heading to the Gerrard location when I'm nearby (and often will go out of my way to come here!) Everyone is so friendly. I love coming to this place to get some amazing burritos!! I’ve tried a few different burrito places and I have to admit that the burritos served at Fat Bastard are among the best I’ve had - they taste so amazing in a way that many other foods from other restaurants don’t. A gentleman at the restaurant, Donald, is very friendly and it’s always great to see him when I get some late-night burritos!! I also enjoy the music they play in the restaurant - I’ve added two songs that they’ve played onto my Spotify!! Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who’s nearby.
