We heard the subs are good, but i would not know because i never got to eat mine!!! How hard is it to take a correct order and then to make it by what's written on the order paper. My husband and I ordered 2 steak and cheese subs. He wanted no onions, no peppers with jalapeños. I wanted no onion , with mushrooms that were charged as 2 items. He got his correctly . Mine they messed up brutally. Half of the sub had no peppers. The other half of the sub had peppers like I wanted, but also it had jalapeños which I did not even order, plus it had sautéed onions, which I was very specific NO ONIONS I AM ALLERGIC!!!! What happened to the mushrooms that were charged as 2 items ???? Unbelievable. Can the workers that make the subs read English or have basic understanding of what it says on the order paper. I am very disappointed. We spend almost $40 for 2 subs. Not likely we will be back to this location!!! Also after we ordered the subs and were waiting we were just standing looking at the pictures of all the subs they offered and reading the descriptions and the girl that was making the subs told us very rudly and sharply not to stand there we would be called when the subs were ready. We were not in anyone's way . We were looking at what we would get next time. The way she barked at us was very rude and uncalled for. Very bad experience. I did not get to enjoy the sub that I ordered which was a big mess. I'm shocked and horrified by the whole experience. Do they understand when someone says I AM ALLERGIC TO ONIONS NO ONIONS WHAT REPRECAUTIONS COMES WITH THAT RESPONSIBILITY AS SOMEONE THAT IS PROVIDING AND MAKING THE FOOD ????? IF I DID NOT SMELL IT AND REALIZE IT I WOULD HAVE EATEN IT AND HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION !!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AS THE WORKERS DO NOT UNDERSTAND NOR SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH AND OBVIOUSLY DID NOT TAKE FOOD HANDLING COURSE AND OBVIOUSLY NOT LICENCED !!!! DO NOT GO THERE . ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES YOU MIGHT END UP IN EMERGENCY ROOM !!!!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC...
Read moreWhen thinking about my experience at Firehouse Subs, two words come to mind - operational excellence.
When I first walked in, I was blown away! The place looked sparkling clean. The staff – Alejandra, Lenaia, and the other girls whose names I have yet to learn – expertly guided me through the menu, making sure to suggest the tastiest, most popular subs, and within minutes I was having the best sub of my life!
I was even more surprised the next day I came in – everyone welcomed me by name. Being new to the area, this quickly became my favourite spot in the neighbourhood which kept me coming back week after week. Girls, on a cold and long day of work, your smiles and super friendly demeanour warm us up better than that fire chilli you guys make.
Let's talk food. Mind blowing! I lived near a Subway location for a while, which completely put me off subs for the longest time ever. Firehouse Subs elevate comfort food to a whole new level. The Engineer is absolutely loaded with turkey breast, while the mushrooms, tomatoes and olives give it a refreshing crisp. The New York Steamer is packed with juice and flavour, while the Beef & Cheddar Brisket brings that sweetness and tanginess to the table. And of course, the Italian comes loaded with salami, pepperoni, and ham while experimenting with traditional Italian dressing and spices without making them overwhelming. The soda machine let you DJ your infinite refill drinks to your liking, and the chilli keeps things hearty on a cold day. You also get a pickle on the side!
You guys are excellent and deserve a raise for all the great work you do! Are the subs a dollar or two more expensive than at Subway? Sure. But the money goes towards a noble cause and I love when people are compensated for great work and do not have to rely on tips to make a living.
Rather than waiting three hours in line at Cheesecake Factory - give this place a shot. I promise you will not be...

I’ve been to several firehouse subs throughout the GTA and this is by far the worst location. This was my first and last time ever coming to this one. Extremely disappointed with the crappy service. I called 20 minutes in advance. First I confirmed the location and the girl who picked up the phone spoke terrible English and had no idea what the address was. Nor did she know the main intersection of your location for me to place an order for pick up -on my short lunch break from work. Only to have to arrive and wait an additional 10 minutes upon arrival for Priya and the other Indian girl to inform me that my sandwich had not been started yet. Mind you, it was practically empty inside once I got there. Why waste my time? The whole point of calling ahead is to have a meal ready for pick up. As if that wasn’t already bad; my $20 sandwich was completely sloppy, soggy, mushy, tasteless and impossible to hold. I saw priya’s shift partner wringing meat from the grill in some form of wax paper before placing it down on the counter, Not realizing she rushed and tossed it into my sandwich, SMH. I then noticed a huge tear in my bag and asked Priya’s shift partner for a new bag and she didn’t apologize for the ripped bag or anything, all she said was “ that’s the only size you can get for your order” as if a $20 sandwich is cheap. Why work at a restaurant if you don’t care to prepare food properly that customers are paying for?
Firehouse please do better and ONLY HIRE people who eat and care about the same type of food they are serving to others. Over $20 dollars wasted and I couldn’t even hold my sandwich to eat it due to the soggy bread sticking to the food wrapping paper inside of the box. This is unacceptable. I am extremely...
