UPDATE - reached out to the individual that responded to this post and unfortunately never heard back.

Been to Frenchie’s multiple times and found the staff pretty rude however, it is local and has been convenient to bring when going to events as it’s something different.

I wouldn’t have left a review but the service today was extremely disappointing. I placed my order for a dozen doughnuts at 9:42 AM and arrived at the shop around 10:15 AM (the confirmation email states that it will be ready in 20 minutes). When I entered, I was greeted by a staff member. Once I told him my name, the owner came up and informed me that the paper didn’t print for the order and to wait. There was no apology for the inconvenience on their end. This was also frustrating as we were headed to an event up north.

I came back around 10:30 AM and the owner proceeded to tell me that they made all the doughnuts vanilla due to them having a lot of catering orders and needing the chocolate for them. Once again, no apology yet tons of attitude from her as if I shouldn’t be upset. If the other orders were for catering, I’d assume they’d be aware of needing to make more chocolate doughnuts or taking it off their online ordering selection. There was no call made to my phone either time; lack of communication on their part and they definitely could have confirmed what my order was or asked me if the change in flavour was okay/ if I wanted to change my selection.

I’ve worked in many customer facing roles and understand that things can come up unplanned yet the owner could have apologized either of the two times or offered to give us extra for their tardiness. I am definitely turned off by this and will most likely not be returning. It is one thing if this was a staff member but I definitely question the quality of the overall shop if the owner doesn’t care about her customers who...

ADDING THE OWNER IS SO UPSET BY THE TRUTH THEY ARE DENYING WHATS ALL OVER THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA. The proof IS THERE. She is mad about it being outed. It is no where else but this place. Frenchies donuts by kipling station. If I could give zero stars I would! DISGUSTING “FOOD” place yet they allow DOGS in the shop! Not only is this not allowed by public health - but this is a RISK for SAFETY of customers! Many customers can have allergies to dogs and some have severe allergies that allergens left behind by the dog will trigger. Or if the dog is in the shop at the same time as the customer. Saliva/Drool dripping on the floor is a safety hazard for slipping! Dog fur on the floor can be easily blown up words into the food area and drinks. Onto other people’s clothing. If someone pets the dog and then goes and makes your food. If the dog gives a shake - fur hair and allergens will be in the air and all over the shop! The owners respond with like immature little high schooler, which is mainly what their staff consists of (young kids) and this is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. Someone who has health concerns raised about their “business” should immediately be apologizing for the inconvenience and saying they will make it right and not allow animals in their shop. For the safety of customers and the proper cleanliness rules. Any food place is not allowed to have animals in it. Except for service animals. None of which have been service animals but instead they allow any French bulldogs and other dogs. They have been reported to public health. Don’t go here unless you want to trip on dog drool (I mean if you do - you could sue them) if you have allergies to dogs, don’t go here! And don’t go here if you don’t want dog hair...

I had a worst experience on my first visit, one of my friend He suggested me this place and I visited with my girlfriend so we placed the order online as a pick up order. We reached there after 20 minutes as soon as we enter the door. My girlfriend asked me to order and she wanted to use the laboratory. so she politely asked that If she needed any keys or the door is open, so the two girls working at the back they just immediately said it's open and I don't know what happened the third girl she said no you cannot use the restroom and then I asked like what's the reason and she didn't have any reason, her colleague silently told her to allow us to use the restroom but she continued to refuse don't know why, even we saw a male coming out from the restroom just before we entered. I smelt a little racism over there because she thought we are not here to order and just use the restroom. This was really embarrassing for both of us and I could not stop myself and just told that lady that I had a pick up order which I don't want anymore and you can keep the money. But I think she should have etiquette that it was a female who was asking to use the restroom. Being a female, she should also know that how urgent it could be for her to use the restroom.

Sometimes I wonder that how much the stupid, selfish and greedy people could be, Look, they could have made a loyal customer, because I know they donuts are really good no doubt, but they lost me just because of stupidity of that stupid blonde racist lady, which was on the cash that day , I was really hurt with that gesture, and my whole evening with my girlfriend was spoiled, which could have been better if we didn't encountered her or just didn't place the order...

I've seen this places Street signs all around the Kipling area going to the station so I finally tried it. I'm not a cake doughnut person but I deduct no points for that in this review. The doughnut itself is soft and cakey. The exterior has just enough of a crust to provide a textural mouth feel and hold up to the toppings, but these doughnuts are super soft and fresh. Of the 1/2 I shared with family the consensus was that the Blueberry Cheesecake was the best flavour, followed by Cinnatella so I recommend that you try these two if you get a 1/2, dozen or more. Being able to customize doughnuts and flavours is neat if you wanted to make a bunch of different flavour combinations. My one knock on this place is that all the doughnuts use the same dough, so the flavour differences is only in the toppings. It would be nice if the the say blueberry doughnut was actually or contained blueberries with the doughnut itself. Also one this place gets busier cause they are good doughnuts, it will be interesting to see how they manage making your doughnuts all at once infront of you, so be prepared to possibly wait a bit if there's a line, since nothing is pre made. Overall good experience 8.5/10. I'm not target audience since cake doughnuts, but if going to a event and wanting a conversation starter I'd pick up a dozen for my friends to try.

Well it was my first time here at Frenchie's and it was a good experience they were not busy at all . It was nice, clean and organized inside, the staff seemed nice and they were organized, they know what their jobs are and don't cross eachother. I like how they dress the doughnuts right in front of you and you can see the doughnuts being fried. As for the tasting it was good and fresh but you can taste a hint of fried oil on it because it does absorb a hit of oil after being taken out, it's like a cake doughnut, dense but soft, some of the flavours are good but not all. You can dress your own doughnut if you want to, I had it till the 3rd day to see how it tastes after 3 days of it being made and I say don't let it pass the 2nd day to eat it because it's just not good after the 3rd day of sitting there or just eat it right when you get it. There is no bathroom there, their is sitting area, they do sell coffee but did not taste it, parking is limited because they share the parking spaces with other businesses nextdoor to them. I recommend at least coming to try it once it's different from other doughnut shops that just have there doughnuts displayed.

My husband and I came here yesterday by fluke when we saw there advertisement in mississauga. I’ve always wanted to try it and didn’t know what I was walking into. We came in about half an hour before closing. I really loved the concept of this place and were served in a nice manner, even though the girls behind the counter seemed tired. My favourite was the Cinetella and the Mocha. I don’t really know how the other ones tasted but my whole family seemed to enjoy them. While my family said the others did have a similar taste which I believe we had the strawberry cheesecake and the lemonade one we still appreciated that it was all made from scratch. The donuts are seemed to be made old fashioned style and they put the toppings on after. I’m not a donut lover, but I definitely approve and I will return back because they use fresh ingredients. I hope they keep up the standard! I even bought two mugs lol. As a Frenchie mom, I approve!
