Gabby's — Restaurant in Toronto

Sadly disappointed with our order sent through UberEats. We ordered a veggie burger that turned out to be meat. The Southwest Chicken Bowl had no chicken in it. The warm goat cheese salad came with bread, which was in a side bag, along with the chicken that should have been in the Southwestern bowl. Yup, a bag of bread, with random chicken thrown in with it (I don't get it either). Why would you put a bunch of chicken in a thermo bag with bread for a completely different item, and not with the dish? Why would you send a meat burger to a vegetarian? These are genuine health concerns from a 25 year vegetarian who can get very ill from meat proteins at this point.

When we called to ask them to resend the order, or correct it somehow, a very terse staff member was clear that she wasn't the one who made the mistake, but it was the kitchen. She couldn't help us in anyway. Told us to call and speak to the manager the next day and we had to handle any complaints through UberEats.

Wasn't impressed with the food. We head out to far since it was after midnight. Half price wings, chicken fingers and fries, onion rings, and a chef salad. Two pints of beer and one diet pop. Almost 25 minutes later are food finally arrived. The chicken fingers were small fresh chicken the fries were so so. The chicken wings were okay could have been bigger. The onion rings were the best pay but half of them are stuck together. The salad for 7:50 was very small. About the size you get from McDonald's for half the price same greens. All in all it was a $60 evening not including tip. The food was average. Only six people in the bar. We the only ones that ordered food took a long time. Atmosphere is nice. Music a little 2 hip Hop. Our server was nice. But she was more chummy with her male friends at the bar. Although she did come to our table We had to call her more than once to get service. I'm certainly not a Gaby's fan. I have visited this location at atleast 20 times in the past year and I have had no issues what so ever, And the server who also seems to be the manager has seen me multiple times. We were there at 10:50pm and were told the kitchen is closed. I very specifically called to check if they were open as it was late and it was a sunday! And as a customer and someone who has worked for food I always call ahead to check. When the host told us the kitchen is closed I told her I had just called to ask if you ll were open and she said Until 12:30 , she told me quote ‘ you should ask till what time is the kitchen open’ I am sorry, this is wrong in many ways. When I called to ask till what time you ll are open and if you say 12:30am I am expected to be served atleast the late night menu until then. This has been one of the most unreasonable experiences I have had with any place . And definitely what I expected...
