Golden Stove — Restaurant in Toronto

UPDATE: Finally lost our business forever after the last experience. Ordered at 4pm when they first opened. FIRST order of the day and by 6:30pm it was still not ready for pick-up. No explanation or anything. I'll continue to go elsewhere where the quality and taste may not be as good, but I'll get my order within 15-20 minutes of placing it.

ORIGINAL: 5 star review isn't enough. This has been my go-to Chinese food restaurant for over 25 years. I've yet to find something better in the GTA that would replace it. While the restaurant itself is dated and could benefit from a facelift the food is outstanding. Both in quality and quantity. Prices can't be beat either. Just the best! My favourite dish is the chicken Chow...

Visited this lovely establishment today. placed an order over the phone and was told to come at 6, waiting about an hour more than supposed to. Sometimes in life, you got to wait, and for me, the wait was worth it cause the quality of food that I received was simply full of flavor. I loved all the dishes I got. I ate at various Chinese places across the city, but this place definitely knows what they are doing... kudos to the chefs. I recommend the beef chop suey, Cantonese chow mein etc just melts in your mouth. Will be coming back 100% this time I'll come later...

Please reopen! I haven't had a proper Chinese food, since you closed it, before plandemic. I spoke with you before you closed, cuz you were mad, I told my friend about your awesome place. You said, you are too busy already. I'm sorry, but this is the best food in town. I'm passing you place regularly, once a month, hoping you are open. I was glad to find, you came back from your "fishing" trip to hear about the "renos", but you are still closed. Even my son misses your cashew chicken. I'm begging you, OPEN! We miss you, we are hungry....
