Saw this place on door dash and with the positive reviews I thought I would give them a try. While the food is good, it's severely over priced for the small portion size. The wrap contains very little filling and is mostly just bread. As for the fries, I got like maybe a dozen fries? I have never seen such a small portion of fries. The image I attached was my side of fries before I even touched a single one. I'm not sure how this place is rated so high, I assume they give bigger portions and/or have more reasonable pricing in store.
$30 for a meal that doesn't even fill me is not normal
Edit: In reply to the owners response. No, no fries were eaten. This is exactly the amount I received. And yes I did order another wrap, but even eating both the wraps and the fries was not filling. To try and claim that I ate some fries rather than admit you gave an extremely small portion is laughable. Perhaps you usually do give an adequate portion, and this was a one off. But attempting to claim that I ate some instead of admitting to your mistake is laughable. Won't be back and suggest others do not...
Read moreA restaurant with only 5 star reviews can be a bit suspicious...but not this place. All items are incredible and made by someone who is passionate about their craft. The kathi rolls are simply perfection: perfectly tender chicken, toppings, sauce that has the perfect heat and flavor, all wrapped in a perfectly crisped naan. All of this for $10 which is criminally low for what you get.
The samosas are the best I've had being born and raised in Scarborough, they just don't get better than this: flavor with heat that doesn't pat it down.
And to top it off, this restaurant has that one extra mark of a great chef: a rotating menu.
Please support this business and this highly talented owner and chef. This is the best food gem...
Read moreGood food - as the name goes. Great hospitality too! We usually frequent Indran Sweets - which is the next door to Good Food Mantra. On this occasion, we also ventured to try out Good Food Mantra. My son liked their Jamuns, and the wife loved the Paneer roll. I took the Panneer kebab - which was OK.
What I liked about the place is the friendliness and hospitality showered by the host. He was very kind and helpful. The son couldn't wait until we hit home to have the jamuns, so he started to eat it in the car. And spilled the syrup. I went in to get some towels, the owner came outside and...
