Taste of Madurai (Take out) — Restaurant in Toronto

Felt ashamed and insulted. Never again stepping foot in that place.

Since the day I moved to canada I've been using taste of madurai catering serice for takeaway and haven't explored my options much locally because the owner of the place is a good man and comes from close to my hometown.

However for some reasons after the restaurant was opened the food became not so likable being worse by day and i mean it cause i order almost 4 times a week and have also pointed out to him but not much positive response from his side so have given up in trying be positively criticizing.

However, continued to go there ever other day as usual for food just for the loyalty that I have developed towards the place and whebever the owner is front he respects a customer and we have a small chat . But lately the service is been very very poor. Going somewhere everytime must build a positive response being a very regular customer and be treated well but it has been upside down.

Because I go there every other they started rejecting and neglecting me taking me for granted. 3 continous days I have been trying to go and get food but the lady who is in front desk looks at me and continues to do her work and talking even though I have been waiting for long ignoring to even say hello just wait or something like that. Worst part is in the lunch. Been there and took 20min to get a seat for 1 person and the guy who serves the rice for meals is looking at me and serving everyone but ignoring took 1.1hours but not even plate and waterfor me and everyone around me is half way through i felt so ashamed and 3rd time walked away without being served. I am definitely not going there again for personal meal or my family events had enough disrespect paying for a service. Gona explore my options...

The only place I know that offers proper authentic chettinad Non Vegetarian food in Toronto. But I have to say I've been getting food from this place right since they started almost a year back it's not the same anymore. Recently I got mutton kothu roti and was very disappointed with the quantity. When I went next time I told them about it but nothing happened cause when I ordered the same dish again and I always ask for extra onion gravy and egg . When I went to pay I paid 14$ plus tax for a mutton kothu roti . I asked why so much and found out I was charged 2$ for just one extra egg . As usual I was like that's fine and went home to enjoy the food . To my surprise when opened the pack I was shocked to see no extra egg was added cause I've been a regular kothu roti eater from almost all tamil takeout places in and around scarborough so I know what to expect when I ask for extra egg . Disappointed and went next time to ask it was the same guy who charged me 2$ for an extra egg and told him about what happened. U know what , nothing happened all he did was a denial . Recently I've been having very bad experiences from this place . Service level has gone down . Quantity is really poor . Just for the taste I will have it once in a while . Not going to be regular...

on my to home and felt hungry and saw this place called Taste of Madhurai. I pulled over my car and walked In and doubted to order looking at the ambience.I ordered for poori with Potato masala curry. In 5-7mins order was given.When I came into the car and opened the box.I came to knew I have under estimated the restaurant.

Packing - 5 ⭐️

I saw restaurants giving poori and hot food in the thermo box, which makes the box melt and stick to the hot food.Such kind of food causes cancers. In this place they used a silicon foil paper at the bottom.

Poori - 5 ⭐️

They gave a wheat poori not a all purpose flour made poori. Taste was amazing.

Curry taste - 5⭐️

It was awesome and made me to remember the taste at my home town.
