Habibz Corner serves as the Uber Eats/Door Dash/food delivery service of the main restaurant: Showtime Bistro.
Showtime Bistro has been one of my favourite restaurants to go to over the past year. As Habibz Corner uses the same kitchen, cooks and ingredients as Showtime Bistro, Habibz Corner produces the same amount of excellence.
It's worth noting that Showtime Bistro and Habibz Corner do have different menus so my review will be focused on the items, specials and offers of Habibz Corner.
So far at Habibz Corner I ordered: -Vanilla Milkshake -Mango Milkshake -Strawberry Milkshake -Cheese Cake -Family Special -Chicken Burger -Chicken on Rice with salad -Double Cheeseburger -Onion Rings -Hand cut fries
As an overall review, Habibz Corner is better than most chain restaurants. It's more favourable, filling and cheap than your traditional fast food restaurants.
For a more specific review on the individual items:
The strawberry and mango ones are my favorites and it pairs well with the other items. Unfortunately, Showtime Bistro has a KILLER Oreo milkshake that isn't available through Habibz Corner.
The onion rings sides are usually my go-to side over the fries due to their flavour and quantity.
The chicken on rice with salad is the best entry level food on the menu. It's very similar to a standard meal in kabob places.
The double cheeseburger is my favourite burger. Having the second meat is a really big upgrade.
The group specials are a bit weird. The family special comes with two chickens on rice with salad, two burgers, and two cans of pop. However you cannot interchange the chicken on rice with salad or the burgers with anything else. For example the chicken on rice with salad is the same price as the veggie on rice with salad and the chicken on fries. Yet Uber Eats and Door dash do not allow me to interchange the main meal. I would say that the group specials are still worth it if you don't mind the two...
Read moreI placed an order for pickup and repeated it multiple times to ensure accuracy. When I arrived at the restaurant, they confirmed my name but handed me the wrong order. They were polite and acknowledged the mistake, which I completely understood—mistakes happen. I was happy to wait while they prepared the correct order, assuming it would be made fresh. However, what they did next was extremely disappointing. Instead of preparing a new chicken shawarma poutine, they removed the jerk chicken from the original order and added chicken shawarma on top. When I took the first bite, it was clear this wasn’t freshly made. I’ve ordered this dish numerous times and immediately noticed the difference. While I appreciate their friendliness and initial acknowledgment of the error, this felt dishonest. I wouldn’t have minded waiting longer if it meant getting a properly prepared meal. This kind of behavior undermines trust and reflects poorly on customer service. I’m leaving this review to share my experience and to ensure employees are held accountable. While I understand mistakes happen, repeating them in this way feels careless. I gave three stars instead of zero because they initially admitted the mistake, but I hope they improve and don’t repeat this behavior...
Read moreWhen I went, my server was nice but it took a while for someone to come and ask us if we needed anything, I got the jerk chicken platter and the tandoori poutine and the poutine was really good but the platter tasted disgusting and burnt so I kindly told them how I didn’t like the way it tasted and they said ok they will give me a new one but then the same girl comes back a few mins later and asks what it was and I told her it was the meat and she said ok, after waiting 30 MINUTES, we finally get our food that took 15 mins before and I ate it and it was still disgusting because they used the same rice and didn’t even bother giving me another one, the rice is still contaminated by whatever chicken that was and I couldn’t even finish it and I just took it out and didn’t even eat it when I got home, it was so gross and made me feel horrible later, literally so lazy to go and cook something new, the flavours mix together obviously will have the same stench and flavour so why would you even put it again with my new platter, I will be going to a different location even tho it’s one thing, they should learn that all food will still taste and smell the same if they reuse it again on...
