We’ve always loved Pizza Karachi and were glad to have a location close to home. But today was by far our worst experience ever.
First, we tried to place a pickup order. A girl answered the phone, said “just a second please,” and then put us on hold for 5–7 minutes before hanging up. We called again 8–10 times and no one ever picked up. Since this is the only decent pizza place nearby, we decided to just go there and dine in. When we arrived, the place was nearly empty (only one table full), so there was no reason the phone shouldn’t have been answered.
We ordered 3 pizzas, 4 drinks, and 5 dips for 9 people. The girl at the counter said it would take 30 minutes, but our food actually came pretty quickly. But the biggest problem started when we tasted the food: the paneer on the pizza tasted terrible—bitter, like it was spoiled, with a moldy or fungal taste. My partner and friend couldn’t even swallow it.
We took the pizzas to the counter, explained everything, and got zero apology or even empathy. I even asked the staff to taste the pizza themselves, but all three workers were totally unprofessional and just didn’t care. The girl offered to remake the pizzas, but by then, the experience was ruined. When we asked for a refund or at least compensation, she said she couldn’t refund the dips (seriously, what are we supposed to do—drink the dips on their own?). Then she said she’d only refund one pizza, even though all were inedible.
Honestly, the staff here needs urgent training in customer service. This is my first time ever writing a negative review, but I had to—especially after my partner ended up vomiting when we got home. This is a serious health concern.
We’re done with Pizza Karachi Markham. We’ll still visit the Lebovic location, but never...
Read morePizza - Karachi style? OK. Interesting concept! The restaurant has been open just for three weeks and it is nice and spacious with a large window area which can seat a few dozens. So it makes a nice sitting arrangement. There are robots who bring you the pizza so that's interesting too. The service was polite, excellent and helpful. The costs? Slightly on the high side for a pizza!. But on to the Pizza's. They have all kinds of combinations, Veg, Chicken and Beef. All Halal! After all it is a Pakistani restaurant. So what they have done is combine the interesting meat dishes of Karachi, (Karachi non veg food is very tasty) and put that meat dish on their pizza. The result? A combination of the best of Italy and Karachi. The first bite may take a little getting used to, but then its taste all the way. Accompanied are a yoghurt based white sauce, very interesting and a hot sauce which again has a tinge of sweetness to it. And oh yes. You can get the crust filled with a meat of your choice! This is the only thing which I felt was off and I wish we had ordered a cheese crust. Please go and give this restaurant a try. It's different and that is the great part about it. Oh yes. We tried their Veg Pizza which they call the Sabzi Mandi Pizza _ The Vegetable...
Read moreAs much as i was hyped and excited to try this, the scarborough location finally opened up and well... it does not match the excitement and taste at all of Karachi. The pizzas were fairly alright, had not much taste to them, really bland when it said spicy — (mirch sauga, + gosht khor) no pakistani touch and even flavour, something a little different even, tasted like any local pizza here. Their apparently popular sauce is such a runny version of weird ranch, half full tiny container. Got m fries, and when I actually got them it was only a tiny handful of fries... not even according to the m box size. They put it in large box so looks somehow decent to them. So disappointed honestly for $5. Maybe the missisuaga branches are amazing as per the hype and reviews. but scarb one sucks and it didn't impress me. I wish it was amazing bc I was really looking forward to a good experience. Also, pizzas are pricey for the size of even a medium of 8 slices, and no proper standard sizing of medium to large pizzas. And charging $4.99 a pop is just crazy. They should deff bring their pricing down. Not worth it at all in my opinion, if you have got a big family and...
