I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had such a great experience at the Harvey’s/Swiss Chalet on Queens Quay that I felt compelled to share it—especially to highlight the outstanding service from the female cashier working at 6:30 PM. She was wearing distinctive pink glasses and pink earrings, and her warmth and attention to detail made the visit truly memorable.
From the moment I stepped in, she greeted me with a genuine smile and an upbeat attitude that instantly made the place feel welcoming. Despite it being a busy time, she remained calm, friendly, and incredibly attentive. She didn’t rush through the interaction like you sometimes see in fast-food settings. Instead, she took the time to go over the menu options, patiently answered questions, and made sure the order was exactly right. Her energy was positive and professional—something you don’t always get, especially during peak hours.
On top of all that, she had the cutest accent—it added such a charming and personal touch to the whole interaction. It just made the experience feel even more warm and memorable. You could tell she genuinely cared about the customers and wanted everyone to leave happy.
What really stood out was how she double-checked the order without being asked, confirmed any customizations, and even offered extra napkins and condiments before I could think to ask. She made sure everything was hot, fresh, and packaged properly, all while managing a line of customers without showing any stress. I also noticed her being just as kind and courteous to the people before and after me in line, which speaks volumes about her consistency and work ethic.
It’s small things—like caring enough to ask if the food was to my liking, or smiling while handing over the bag—that transform a standard takeout visit into a memorable one. She went above and beyond what you’d expect from a cashier, showing a level of customer care that felt personalized and sincere.
The food was solid, as expected from Harvey’s and Swiss Chalet, but the service was what truly elevated the experience. If management is reading this: please recognize this employee. She is a star and an asset to your location.

This is the worst Harveys / Swiss Chalet ever. If you look closely you can see the 5 star reviews on here mentioning Priya or Marissa are clearly fake.
My wife and I have been here several times; the last time (Thursday April 1st 2025 at approximately 9:30pm) we pointed out they charged us $31.49 for a $29.99 coupon pre-tax. This is before they tried to tell us the total was $40, nearly double what we came to spend. After we pointed out the extra $1.49 charge, they told us we were not welcome at that location, before haphazardly issuing a refund and snatching our receipt.
They then proceeded to display all the food they kept making while we flagged them down for refund, attempting to make us feel like we had caused them extreme hardship that evening. They asked for our names so we could be officially banned and we did not comply as we felt that was not acceptable.
I have added the video of the interaction so you can see how we were treated after pointing out the issue. I understand it’s not pleasant to have unsatisfied customers, but we were there having a relaxing evening craving a meal then the staff took things to a level that I have never seen.
I’ve worked in the service industry since I was 15. I have never seen anything this bad and somebody still have a job after. Really shocked that it was the manager who was acting like this as well.

super long wait about 15-20 minutes. Are you guys killing the cow in the back as well? like what’s happening and then the audacity when you didn’t add the cheese when I clearly asked for it and told you, you just slap it on without cooking it and give it to me so I told you to remake it and I got a combo and it says with cheese. It’s Angus with cheese. It’s in your combo. It’s included in the cost. You asked me to pay extra 75cents then said its 85cents for cheese which I paid even though I pointed out your own billboard to you that it’s included in the cost. It’s combo number one angus with cheese what’s your employee still insisted I pay extra fee which I shouldn’t have to pay because it’s included the cost, but I did.
For not hearing me correctly an extra fee that’s already included your employee ripping me off and who knows how many others customers shes also ripped off and where this extra amount is going. She just literally ripped off another customer charging them extra for something they didn’t even order
