We could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our intimate family wedding than the Steam Whistle Biergarten. Every single detail was executed to perfection. We knew we were in good hands from the very first conversation with Josh and Robyn, through the entire planning process, and down to the day-of. The staff treated everyone like a Queen and King, and Josh and Robyn were incredibly responsive and easy to work with. A massive shout-out must go to Josh and The Food Dudes (their onsite caterer!), who designed an jaw-dropping, custom 3-course dinner for our guests, complete with absolutely delicious, crowd-pleasing appetizers for our cocktail hour. Our guests still rave about the food to this very day! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with the perfect mix of upscale dining with the spontaneous, down to earth ‘kick back and drink a stein’-vibe you would expect from a German-inspired Beer Hall. The space for the live band worked perfectly, and it was an absolutely spectacular evening drinking delicious beer, eating incredible food and celebrating our nuptials underneath the city lights and CN tower. Many of our guests have claimed it was the best wedding they have ever attended, and although we are probably quite biased, we wholeheartedly agree. I cannot wait to host another event at the Steam Whistle Biergarten. Thank you to all the incredible staff for making our entire day so special. Pictures: Scarlet O'Neill...

Vivian, oh Vivian! She's like a superhero in an apron. I called upon her during a culinary emergency, and boy, did she deliver! With lightning speed and a witty sense of humor, she swooped in, armed with a tray and a cape. She whisked away my empty plates with the grace of a ballerina and had me laughing so hard that I almost snorted my soup. Vivian is the comedic genius of the restaurant world, juggling orders like a pro and delivering punchlines with perfect timing. Dining at Steam Whistle without her would be like trying to eat a burger without the bun – it just wouldn't be the same!

But here's the best part: Vivian's talents go beyond the restaurant realm. When she's not dazzling customers with her wit, she transforms into an aquatic guru. I mean, who would have thought? She took it upon herself to teach my wife how to swim, and let me tell you, it was like watching a synchronized swimming routine directed by Quentin Tarantino. Vivian's patient guidance and infectious enthusiasm turned my wife into an Olympic-level swimmer in no time. Now, whenever we hit the beach, my wife is out there making waves, all thanks to Vivian's unexpected prowess as a swimming instructor.

So, if you're lucky enough to be served by Vivian at Steam Whistle, hold on tight and get ready for a hilarious, culinary adventure of epic proportions. And who knows, she might just surprise you with a hidden talent like teaching you how to fly......

Exceptional Service from Emily and Francis!

I recently dined at Steam Whistle and was fortunate enough to have Emily and Francis as my server. From the moment I was seated, their warm smile and attentive demeanor set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. Emily's knowledge of the menu was impressive; she effortlessly guided me through the selections, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly matched my preferences.

Throughout the meal, they was always one step ahead, ensuring that my glass was never empty and that each course was delivered promptly and with care. Their professionalism was evident in every interaction, yet she maintained a genuine friendliness that made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest.

What truly stood out was Emily's ability to anticipate my needs without being intrusive. Whether it was providing extra napkins or accommodating a special dietary request, she handled everything with grace and efficiency.

In addition to her impeccable service, their genuine enthusiasm for her work shone through, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. It's clear that she takes pride in her role and genuinely cares about the satisfaction of her customers.

Overall, my experience at Steamwhistle was elevated thanks to their exceptional service. She is a true asset to the establishment, and I look forward to returning soon to enjoy her hospitality once again. Highly...

I ordered a pretzel, beergarita and pumpkin pesto rigatoni. The pretzel and beergarita tasted really good and the rigatoni was okay--it had so much pesto, it felt like I was just eating a jar of pesto the entire meal. It was my first time having it and compared to online photos, it looks pretty accurate though. My husband ordered a Roundhouse burger. I didn't taste it for myself but I did notice that the mid section of his burger was uncooked, still very pink. He mentioned he didn't like the burger anyway and because we were visiting from Newfoundland and didn't have much time in Toronto, my husband didn't want to complain and wait for another burger so he ate the nearly raw one like a champ. The dine-in seating wasn't private and most people, like ourselves, were seated with other strangers on what looked like long picnic tables. Whenever I bumped the table, I disrupted other customers at my table and I wanted to move my seat in, as I'm short but I didn't because I'd have to ask the customer at the other end of the bench if it was okay. There sometimes wasn't much space in between tables and benches for people to get by or be seated. Despite all this, it was a really cute set-up. Had a fresh, hipster vibe to the place. Plenty of vegan, vegetarian options. Service was fantastic. I'd try again but order something else on the menu. Very much recommend the beer and pretzel!
