Hot Pot Cafe — Restaurant in Toronto

I had a very bad experiencie here. 😕

I went yesterday with 2 friends more, and as soon as i arrived, i asked to the waitress for the shisha section in the basement. She didt even looked to me and told me that if a wanted to enter i had to order before. I accepted that and ordered one shisha, but she told me that if we were 3, i mandatory had to order 2 pipes at least. I replied saying that they are not smokers, but they were going to have dinner and beverages.

She just told me literally: No. If you want to stay here, and you are 3 people, yo have to order 2 shishas. Make your choice, it's up to you.

I felt very uncomfortable, even more because i had came 5 years ago and used to be a great place, and i convinced my friends to take an uber and came to this place this time we were visiting the city.

So, we did not even enter, and we had come back to our hotel.

What a shame this place has such a rude person...

Food was good however I was going to the back to have some hookah and the staff was very very rude to us. I have been smoking in this area for years and never have i once been refused entrance. My friend was not allowed in because she looked young? And this happened twice. There are MANY hookah lounges better than in. Sultans cafe (scarborough), Starbuzz (across the street from hot pot), giving a two because i haven't tasted the food but have heard its good. However I will not be...

Great hookah (apple and mint is awesome), food and Moroccan coffee (personal favorite)!!! Service is great too, friendly people. A piece of advice: go with open mind! The place is not really beautiful and the ambience is full of smoke (obviously) but is just a matter of time and getting used to it. The best tables (first floor) have TVs and good music.
