I signed up for 2 workshops in pottery. The first week was creating pieces on the wheel and the next week was to be glazing those pieces. The first class went well and the instructor was great. The day of the glazing class, I was informed it was cancelled and offered a couple dates to reschedule. I showed up to the rescheduled date and no one was there. The person at reception tried to sort out what could have happened and told me the instructors had a miscommunication and forgot about my class. While there, I looked around for my pieces and couldn't see them but the receptionist assured me they would be found and I'd be contacted about a makeup class to glaze my pieces. 9 days later I was finally contacted about a makeup class. I accepted a time for the class and asked about my pieces from the original workshop, now nearly a month after that first class. I recieved no response and did not attend the class as I didn't want to waste my time showing up and having no pieces to work with. The day after that final makeup class was to take place, I emailed to express my disappointment in the lack of communication and have yet to receive a response yet, weeks later. I was looking forward to taking more classes and now I will be looking for...

Review for Create Art Studio on Danforth Avenue

I can’t recommend Create Art Studio enough! I’ve been looking for something productive to do on weekends, and this place has been a game-changer. I was hesitant about joining art classes because of the expensive art schools, but then I found Create Art Studio, and it’s been the best decision ever.

Stu, one of the instructors, is incredible. He has the perfect balance of a great sense of humor, a deep understanding of colors, and a genuinely kind and supportive teaching style. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone looking to sharpen your skills, Stu makes learning enjoyable and accessible.

What I love most is how effective the classes are. Stu conducts both workshops and regular classes, and I’m enrolled in both. I’ve struggled with watercolor for years, but within just 2–3 weeks of joining Create Art Studio, I’ve seen remarkable improvement in my skills. I’ve been amazed at how much I’ve learned in such a short time—and how fun the process has been!

Big kudos to Create Art Studio and Stu for creating such a welcoming and inspiring environment. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate—this place is worth...

When looking around the Downtown Toronto area for fun team-building activities - it didn't take long for us to come across Create Art Studio.

We quickly realized how well-reputable it is and its extent of its services and activities! So we reached out.

Coordinating with Create Art Studio was seamless, quick, and painless. The contacts we spoke to were incredibly helpful in answering questions quickly and gladly accommodated any and all particulars.

--

The day-of - in short - the experience was phenomenal.

We set out to create some pottery pieces for each individual.

As we collectively learned the craft for the first time, the instructor patiently and joyfully participated in assisting, nurturing, and even recovering our pieces.

They made a point to ensure that everyone had something to take home with them - and that they had a blast time doing it in the meanwhile.

Success on all fronts.

--

Would eagerly look forward to Create Art Studio for future team-building...

Such an amazing local studio! I’ve done a handful of different classes and workshops, and they’ve all been awesome. They have loads of options, from acrylics to digital art to pottery - I wish I had more time to try more! Paint club is a great way to ā€œfind time to paintā€. It’s unstructured (everyone works on their own projects), and it’s a great option if you want to work on your own stuff in the company of others - and Stu’s incredibly helpful and constantly giving tips and ideas if you want support. Great vibe. The multi week classes are also SO good. A great mix of technical and practical (mostly practical), and you walk away with a handful of pieces. I also love that they have one-session workshops, as they’re perfect when you can’t commit to a 6 week program. Drop-in ceramic painting on the weekends is awesome for the kids - a great rainy day activity. Everyone is super friendly, helpful and the space is bright and welcoming. Highly recommend :)
