I wish I could give Indian Crown 6 stars.

I have visited this little spot many times in the past 4 years, and I’m so glad they survived the pandemic.

The brothers running the place are timid and friendly; they never messed up any of my order and I’ve never had any food safety issue as well. They are so kind to accommodate my millennial whininess for modifying the ingredients for various reasons.

They are one of the only restaurants that don’t jack up the price on delivery platforms to make up for the 30% commission charged by Uber, so please help them by calling in directly instead of placing Uber orders.

Speed: very fast.

Taste: fresh, hot, and delicious. I particularly like how they are not overly salty or oily. You won’t have an uncomfortable stomach after having their dishes.

Price: extremely reasonable.

Highlight: their naans are the best even compared to the fine dining places. They make it fresh with a clay oven. Many Indian restaurants these days buy Costco Naan and reheat them instead.

The only reservation I have: I’m not an Indian person grew up with home cooked Indian food. So I cannot say whether it’s authentic. It just tastes good to me in general, maybe it’s a modified version for everybody.

Don’t overlook this tiny place, it doesn’t look glamorous but certainly...

Are you freaking kidding me? Restaurant? I ordered food from uber eats thinking that it’s actually a restaurant! The food came in and I had guests. My guest found an insect in her veggie biryani!!!! I called to tell them about it, guess what? The guy answering the phone said i got the wrong number!!!! Next time he called me crazy! I had to take uber to go there to show them what had happened( another $20 for uber) he called me crazy again and said that I had put the insect in there myself or the uber eat driver must have done it!!! He had the nerves to tell me that I was doing it all for free food. I had spent $100 on food and on top of that $20 for uber ride just to get there! I started making calls in front of their unit( not a restaurant) Which was filthy as you can see in the pictures, when he saw that I’m going to get someone there cops or consumer rights department he started throwing food out! I was so shocked and was just looking at them in disbelief!!!!! They started sweeping the floors and washing the dishes. I did a smart thing and started recording them and taking pictures which was sent and filed with the ministry of government and consumer services. Not only they gave me my guests and my 2 year old...

We have ordered for Chicken Pakora, Lamb Korma & Pulao rice at Indian Crown Yonge Branch. The given Pulao rice is nothing, but steamed rice (no favour, no taste), Chicken Pakora coated with red color and weird taste altogether.

In addition, Lamb korma was also pathetic no spice and no taste at all. Also, I called restaurant staff to share my experience and they are not ready to admit the feedback and they don’t have time to listen feedback.

I was talking regarding the taste of food, but staff hanged the phone during conversation. Moreover, they are comparing with other top restaurants like Little India etc.

I strongly, recommend every Indian DO NOT visit this restaurant, where there is no customer service and no authentic taste. If anybody, looking for serious authentic Indian food there are other places in Toronto, DO NOT get tempted with...

Small lunch spot with communal seating and limited menu, but good portions and flavour. This might not be a place for the purist but Yonge & Sheppard has been devoid of some consistent Indian food for a while and this fills the gap with reasonably priced options. The menu is not large, but you should expect this from what is essentially a whole in the wall. The lunch specials are the best value with a main curry, side curry, rice and bread for under $10. While the butter chicken wouldn't win any awards, it is still a great option and consistently good tasting.

Just tried the lunch special today $7.99. The staffs are very nice and patient to explain how it words and the fools they have. We ordered the curry beef, curry chicken; we didn’t take their veggies this time. The staff strongly recommended their butter chicken but my friend wanted some curry curry today, the staff end up still out a little bit of the butter chicken sauce on the rice. We found out that the butter chicken is actually the best out of the 3 kind meat curry, thanks for giving us the sampler to try out. The naan is very chewy and freshly made.
