Spoiled Watermelon, Rude Owner, and No Accountability ā Will Never Return
I had a very disappointing experience at Pat Mart, and I hope others will think twice before shopping here.
My mom bought a watermelon during a recent visit. We were excited to share it with our family. But when we cut it open, the inside was spoiled ā parts were mushy, and others were pale and discolored. It was clearly not edible and should never have been sold in that condition.
We brought it back to the store right away, hoping for a refund or at least an exchange. The person at the counter told us they couldnāt take it back because we had already cut it. When we asked to speak with the owner or manager, the woman responded, āIām the owner, and Iām not allowing any return.ā That was it ā no apology, no willingness to even acknowledge that selling spoiled produce is a problem.
It was clear she just wanted to keep the $10, even if it meant selling spoiled food to a customer. That attitude says everything about how this place is run. If a store refuses to stand by the quality of its products and hides behind excuses, how can anyone trust them?
Itās not just about the watermelon ā itās about the principle. If something goes wrong, youāll get no fairness, no support, and no accountability here.
I wonāt be returning, and I strongly encourage others to be cautious ā especially when buying fresh produce...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe groceries are fine and I donāt want to criticize their whole business, but I recently bought their hobak juk (pumpkin soup) and it was the worst Iāve ever tried. Right out of the package, it was a goopy weird texture with very thick glutinous clumps which I originally thought was sticky rice cake that comes with some variations, but it appears to just be sweet rice flour that hasnāt been mixed properly and clumped in the soup. The first pic is before heating, second is after.
I was not expecting such bad quality from a store that has an in-house restaurant/takeout section. Iāve tried their gimbaps before which were fine, but this soup is horrible. Maybe it was a bad batch, Iām not sure.
Please, if you wanna try Korean pumpkin soup, get it from either Bonjuk, Galleria, or the Thornhill PAT Supermarket (these ones Iāve tried and theyāre all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered at 6:50 and got my food at 8:18. After receiving the food, I called the restaurant right away, but they said it wasn't their fault and blamed the delivery company. But isn't the taste and quality of the food the restaurant's problem? The sweet and sour pork was all soggy, the jjamppong soup leaked, and the jjambbong jjajang noodles were all in one piece. And the taste of jajangmyeon was a bit sour and tasteless, so I ate a bite and threw it away. It's the first time I've tried such...
