Do not waste your money here. I visited this restaurant this evening with my family after reading the reviews thinking it’d be a good place to eat authentic Vietnamese food. Upon arrival, we were seated and brought a pot of tea. We ordered the fried chicken wings with lemongrass and chili which were on the menu for $12.95. The waitress didn’t even check on us to see if we were ready to submit our order. After waiting for 20 mins for service, my cousin got up to give the waitress our order.
We were served our wings (5 pieces) which tasted fine. After paying, we realized that we were charged $18.03 in total for the 1 dish (fried chicken wings) that we ordered. When we called the restaurant to inquire the price discrepancy, we were informed by the lady who answered the phone that the tea was $2. Keep in mind, the waitress simply brought us tea. She DID NOT inform us that it would cost an additional $2. Once again, I’ve never been to a Vietnamese restaurant that charged for tea and even if they did, I’ve always been informed beforehand. This was quite simply a money-grabbing scheme on the restaurant’s part. Keep in mind that a meal that cost $12.95 (before tax) will be $14.63 with tax (13%). Adding $2 for the tea will bring it to a grand total of $16.63 and a grand total of $16.89 with tax. Not sure why were charged the extra $1.14.
It’s evident that the owners of this restaurant lack ethics and are out to make a quick buck off of unsuspecting patrons. For future potential customers reading, I highly encourage you to take your business elsewhere. This place lacks customer service, quality food and proper business operations. It’s very unhygienic, there was a large black ant running next to me in my booth. Do your research and find a an alternate Vietnamese restaurant to go to. There are a million other affordable places in...
Read moreI used to be a frequent customer for this pho place but today it was absolutely disgusting.
I can not tell if it was because the noodles had a gummy and no texture at all or the cloudy soup which is normally clear had a strange aftertaste or a combination of both.
Even the aromatic and flavorful candy they supply cannot wash the swamp of what I only presume is msg out of my mouth.
Off day or not I will not be coming back anytime soon, this experience would cause the inventor of pho to roll in their grave.
EDIT
I came back to give this location another chance at the behest of my friends and family.
As I waited I was filled with dread believing that this time will be the same and I was steeling my will to have my mouth filled with mush and a questionable soup again.
I was happily surprised to find out that was not the case and instead a good bowl of pho was placed before me, the noodles had texture unlike last time and the soup was clear, had a clean taste with no strange aftertaste, and didn't leave a gummy texture in my mouth.
Perhaps the last experience I had was just an off day but I hope nobody else will suffer through the experience that I have.
All in all, I would come back here again knowing how much of a difference there was between...
Read moreProbably one of the best phos around in scarborough. Beats all of the tiktok hype places. The pho broth is really flavorful and a excellent balance of sweet n savoury. They also use fresh noodles only, when majority of pho places in Toronto uses dry noodle. In my books it instantly makes pho worse with dry noodles. So thats a plus. This place also have amazing beef flank/brisket and beef. Super tender and literally melt in your mouth. Not to mention most places focuses on either quantity over quality or quality over quantity. This place has quality and quantity. And tbh the portion you get here is massive. Ive probably eatten over 1000s of different pho places. A large is equivalent to most XL. And trust me i eat ALOT of pho. So select your portion accordingly. Anyways amazing place and this place deserves a higher review.
Edit.. I lied they are inconsistent and has served me dry noodles and apparently I have to ask for fresh. Instantly not coming back. They are not honest and have 2 type of pho. They will serve you crap pho if they think ur not from around here but sadly they mistaken me and Im a true pho eatter. And I can taste the difference....
