I recently had a very unsettling dining experience at this restaurant that I feel compelled to share. I ordered a combination of soybean milk, tofu pudding, tea egg, and a crepe, and unfortunately, it ended in a distressing health scare that left me feeling extremely ill.
Let me start with the positives — the tea egg was fine, and the crepe had potential, though it was disappointingly greasy and cold, lacking the crisp texture I was expecting. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse after consuming the entire tea egg and soymilk drink. After a few bites of the tofu pudding and the crepe, I began feeling unwell — cold sweats, fatigue, and a nauseous sensation that forced me to lay down. Within 20 minutes, I was running to the bathroom and violently vomiting.
Reflecting on the food, the tofu pudding and soy milk had a strange, almost cottage cheese-like consistency, which immediately raised some red flags about their freshness and quality. The soy products, in particular, seemed off. I’m not allergic to soy at all, but I’m starting to wonder whether the soy items were mishandled or stored improperly. It honestly felt like a hygiene issue or a problem with the condition of the products used in preparation.
I’m deeply concerned about the standards of this place, especially since I’ve heard other people have had similar problems with their soy products. I won’t be returning or recommending this restaurant to anyone, as I fear the risk of foodborne illness outweighs any potential enjoyment of the menu items. It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to the meal, but this experience has completely...
Read moreI came here on a weekday morning for a quick breakfast and I got their combo which includes the Chinese crepe, the fried dough sticks and a fresh soy milk. The deal is pretty good for the amount of food.
The dough sticks were freshly fried and rather oily but it hits the spot if that's what you're looking for. Chinese crepe had sausage as well as egg, green onion and a crispy dough inside. Unfortunately the flavor was not as good as some other ones I've had. The soy milk was refreshing since I got the iced one. Even though I got the one which is sweetened it was not too sweet and perfect.
The seating area is pretty clean, but there is minimal decor.
The lady who served me was extremely nice and served me...
Read moreI ordered the chicken jian bing, and it was delicious. Just overpriced and under stuffed with ingredients, but the flavours and the sauce were all fine and I have no complaints. My friend ended up getting the hashbrown + spam flavour.
The restaurant was empty, which was fine since I liked quiet. But then an uber eats delivery guy hands over an order to the cashier??? Tell me why her and the only other cook in the restaurant chose takeout over their own food 🤨🤨
I never thought too hard about it until my friend and I BOTH started getting stomach pain an hour after eating. Normally my gut is already sensitive so my friend also experiencing food poisoning...
