Jimmy's Coffee is a cafe I've seen on my walks and drives throughout downtown Toronto, and I just had to stop by and try out their stuff.

🥘☕️ The cafe has a fine-selected/crafted menu with options for coffee, non-coffee, and snacking items. Ordered the iced latte, lemonade, and butter pecan tart. All their stuff is delicious and top-notch, and it's definitely a place I would come back and try again!

🕑 Opened during the early mornings of the day, and closes at 6 pm, which I think is a decent time for cafes (although I wish it closed even later).

🌿✨️ The aesthetics of this place is dark, vibrant, but also has some personality to the place (check my pictures to see what I'm talking about). They have plenty of seating, they have 2 separate areas, and one of the areas looks like a good place to study or bring a group of friends. They also have cute fixtures and paintings on the walls, and have some merchandise as well.

🤍 Customer service is amazing, and everything was kept clean and tidy as well. There was a line for this place at the time we went (late afternoon), but the line goes by pretty quickly. There's always a steady flow of customers, but the 2nd area to sit (to bring big groups or study) gets filled up...

Have been a loyal customer for years. My husband was going in to pick up our coffees while I waited outside, as we saw 2 people waiting at the counter - their limit is 3 people indoors. We both were wearing our masks as required. As he opens the door a female barista starts aggressively screaming at him to go wait outside. A third customer was already waiting indoors in a corner that we didn’t see. So he immediately stepped back outside and we waited outside on the porch for our turn. Suddenly the same barista follows us outside and begins rudely screaming at us more, telling us to wait off the stairs. We meant no harm and there are many polite and courteous ways to speak to customers. The shouting was absolutely unnecessary and unacceptable given we were doing everything we could to abide by their rules. This is no way to treat loyal customers - or anyone for that matter. We ended up leaving for another coffee shop as we were appalled by the poor behaviour, and won’t be back...

Finding seating is no problem at this Jimmy's. Chairs and benches are aplenty in the front yard, inside by the front entrance, leading to the back yard, in the back patio, and in the upstairs area which is sectioned into four different spaces. There's an area for bikes out in front as well. The low hum of conversation and laptops, scents of coffee and pastries, brick walls and fireplace, wooden floors and furniture, and industrial interior design exudes an aura that is cozy and relaxed. It's the perfect place to work, study, hold a meeting, or catch up with a friend. The coffee here is as good as the flagship 107 Jimmy's located across the street. Try the brownie stuffed chocolate chip cookie or muffin if you're a chocolate lover.
