Kabsa Mandi Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

Had some friends over, and they wanted to try some Arabic food, so I ordered lamb mandi and chicken mandi, didn’t come with any salad, a bit over priced. The meat and the chicken were decent, the rice was super salty we couldn’t keep eating, thought it was the lamb but after eating the chicken mandi it was exactly the same, super super salty. I don’t think I will order from this place again.

Update: I ordered again from the same place last week and the food was amazing, I never thought I would order from this place again but the food was so amazing so I have been ordering food from the store for the past 3 nights! Good job

New Update: If this app had more than 5 stars I would definitely give this restaurant more as they absolutely deserve it! I have tried Mandi from so many other restaurants and trust me do not waste your time looking for a good mandi restaurant, this place is where you should go to. I do not know where to start, lamb is super tender and tasty, long grain rice is soft and light, their tomato sauce is out of this world, everything is made with love and cooked to perfection! Customer service is amazing they are very friendly! It is worth every single cent you spend there. Portion size is huge compared to the price but do not get fooled because you will definitely need one dish by yourself as it is super delicious and the lamb would melt in your mouth. Every time I order for delivery, food arrives after 20-30 minutes and it is hot and smells amazing. Owner is very polite and generous, if you have not ordered from this restaurant then you are missing on a lot! I am so glad that I have ordered from them again as my first experience there was not as expected, but after contacting the owner he did not ignore my feed like most restaurants would but took actions immediately. I do not understand those who give 1 star to this restaurant as I have been ordering almost every week for the past 6 months and every time they make sure to get me satisfied to the fullest. For those who are not sure if they should try this restaurant or not, trust me go for it without even thinking. I can not go a week without ordering from this restaurant once. The lamb mandi is delicious, I have never had any mandi that was so good. The meat is always tender and falls right off the bone.

No doubt they have excellent food but they are very unpredictable with their service hours. Google says they are open from 3 pm-12am but don’t trust that completely. I went there around 5pm a couple weeks ago and they were closed. There was no notice on the door or anything so I called the owner who then said the chef is sick. It was a bit irritating since I come from Durham region and it is a bit of a drive but things happen so it wasn’t a big deal. This isnt a review. Its a question. What time does this place open? Ive come over 4 times and its always closed. I tried again today which I guess would make attempt number 5. I arrived at 4:30 doors were locked. I went to run some errands, and came back by 5:45. A lady told me they will open in 1 hour. I left and showed up again 1 hour later and the doors were still locked. I was greeted by 2 children who told me they were still making food and will take a while longer.
