Went with my partner on December 5th 2022 around 7pm. I asked the waitress twice while looking at the menu if the dish I was interested in would be 100% spicy free as I can’t have spicy (celiac and no gallbladder has weakened my tolerance and can make me sick) I know korean dishes can be spicy but I’ve been to many that make it non spicy as well. So after making sure a few times I could have it made this way I decided to order (was tofu seafood soup). Order comes and I take a spoon full and it’s still incredibly spicy still and it smelled bad and tasted gross. I even had my partner try it and confirm. So I asked the waitress if I could just order something else (the same price) since I couldn’t eat this dish (just to the meat which was the same price) and she said no she can just ask them to make it again differently but I couldn’t switch the food since the one I ordered was already made and finished, which didn’t make sense to me, if your offering to remake the dish why couldn’t it just be changed? I told her I didn’t trust it and to please order something and she said no. So I paid $21.41 for something I couldn’t eat and was refused to find a solution for, leaving the soup untouched on the table. Portion was also incredibly tiny...
Read moreThe food is okay at best and the service is terrible. The server was very hesitant about refilling side dishes when we asked only TWO times. After the server gave me and my friends a second plate of kimchi, we found a strand of hair in one of the main dishes. When my friend pulled it out, it was covered in the contents of the soup and we lost all our appetite… we stopped eating and called the same server. She said there were no people in the back who has long hair but still took the dish to the back. 5 minutes later she came out and told my friend to come to the back and find the hair because she couldn’t find it anymore. We thought it was extremely rude to make a customer come all the way to the back to look for the hair when we had already shown it to her. What was more bewildering was that they literally found the hair right after my friend was called to the back. The server came back to our table to collect our food. When she saw the untouched side dishes, she said “this is what I’m talking about, people asking for a refill and wasting it.” We told her it was because we had lost appetite after seeing the hair. We now know we’ll never visit this...

we dined in as 3 very broke college students and the bill came to $103. Even so we paid $110 in cash and thought the $7 tip would be enough considering all we really got was our menus chucked at us as well as a container to take extra food home with.
When we went to leave the restaurant the owner told us we had to tip at least 20% and the waitress wouldn't let us leave until we did. We went through a back and forth as we had no cash, some of the highlights was her telling us it was extra to dine in (which they never told us) and then resorted to just flat out lying and saying it was Canadian law to tip 20%. I asked her if she had confused tip with tax and she said no. So, we left after a few minutes of getting pressured into tipping (without doing so thankfully).
Quick reminder that TIPS are optional and a privilege, not a requirement. Not everybody has the funds to be tipping the equivalent of over an hour's minimum wage left and...
