Komugi Bakery — Restaurant in Toronto

Family owned business managed by husband and wife, both working as head chef and bottle washer. Simple bakery but very very clean. Limited number of items. Went there by closing time and had very limited choice. Their Japanese cheesecake was delicious except for the excess egg flavour. Maybe I felt it that way. Their apple danish was really crispy and still melting between the tongue and teeth. Above all, the most heartwarming part was that this family had kept a box of books by the entrance which were used by their children to be taken by the customers for absolutely free. The books looked brand new and very educational. This shows their positive attitude and a giving heart towards the community. I really appreciate this gesture. Would like to go there again to explore...

Omg... the cherry Danish is AMAZING... first time going in here to grab some sweets with hubby.. we grab some cherry Danish, chocolate melon bread and a beef curry bread.. The cherry Danish took us out.. they are so delicious, they are so favorable... I want to go back and grab a box of them.. the teller that was there was so kind , told us that their melon bread is almost like a Mexican concha, but BETTER and he ain't lied about it, it's soft and has more taste to it, he was so nice and kind.. definitely going back for more danishes and other things to try out.. 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️s if...

Went here because of the inviting smell of freshly baked goods and went home fully satisfied. Loved their raisin shokupan as it’s very soft and not deprived of raisins. Their apple danish is full of filling with buttery and flaky pastry. And their chocolate croissant did not disappoint. Definitely recommend going there during their opening hours for their pipping hot apple danish, then come back during noon or so...
