I've been a loyal patron of this hidden gem for over 20 years, and there's a reason I've only ever ordered one item—the jerk pork. Despite the inevitable rise in prices, this spot has maintained consistent portions that keep me coming back time and time again.

Having tasted jerk dishes from all corners of the city, Jamaica and abroad, this place remains my top choice for authentic jerk in Toronto. What sets it apart? The answer lies in the homemade special sauce, a runny, freshly blended, vinegary concoction of jerk and spicy flavors. You can take this culinary masterpiece home in a jar or a convenient plastic takeout container. I personally stock up to bring it to the cottage, where it becomes the perfect accompaniment to all our BBQ meats. I've yet to find a scotch bonnet sauce that even comes close at any other establishment.

The jerk pork here is a work of art. Unlike other places that serve it in large cubes, they opt for thinner slices, enhancing the overall experience. The meat is incredibly tender, and each piece soaks up the flavorful sauce.

The girl behind the counter has been a constant presence for as long as I can remember. Her service is not just about efficiency; it comes with a genuine smile and the occasional song. Her commitment to customer satisfaction adds an extra layer of warmth to an already...

I would probably say I’ve become abit of a regular to this place. I come for the jerk pork sandwich, or the dinner, (one for when I’m not as hungry, and the other for when I’m feeling that extra need of comfort) This place has been around awhile, and I can say that I was skeptical at first when I first came to the city about 10 years ago, so it was usually just my friends having it. But once I finally gave the sandwich a try (they serve on a coco bun with the gravy and coleslaw) I found myself a lil hooked. Sure, it’s not always perfect, sometimes the bun is a lil off, but I find that like any restaurant, the times of the best quality comes with the time of day it’s served. (I came in once 30mins to close, legit was not expecting that it was gunna be the best when it’s the last scraps of the day) However, days like today where the weather is cool, the snow is starting up again, this jerk pork dinner hit the spot. The flavour was rich, the coleslaw a lovely addition, and I cannot forget to add the amazing as always service from the main lady who been working there...

Contrary to many peoples beliefs and experiences I've had A+ experiences here since 2007. The staff are always accommodating and the food is delicious. I always seem to get the Jerk Pork and their scotch bonnet sauce is to die for. It has a complete balance of heat meets sweet meets pop meets flavour. I started out eating the Jerk Chicken which in one summer I gained 30lbs which can only mean I didn't get sick of eating the same lunch and snack daily. The following summer when I got introduced to the pork it was over and has been a staple dish that I can't go without at least once a month. I've had the stew chicken and the curry chicken while my friends enjoy the curry goat nobody I've gone with has been disappointed. Lastly the oxtail is delicious as well as the festival I don't get the patties there as I am a fan of Allens inside. Hope you enjoy the review and give it a go. Will be seeing you...

Terrible food and just as bad service. Jamaican patty is the worst I’ve had. Was so hard it’s probably leftover from the previous day. The chicken was burnt too much just as the others have mentioned. It was hard also. Coleslaw was so few in serving. Lastly, the attendant had terrible customer service. I came inside and as I was asking about the menu, she didn’t even look at me as she was responding. She continued to do whatever she was doing at the till as she responded. Probably the worst patty and jerk chicken I’ve had. I should have read the reviews first before I had gone here. Waste of money.

I came here for the lunch special which starts from open to 3pm for 8.79. You can either go with jerk chicken or pork on rice peas and side cole slaw with a bottle of water. For the price and the quality it's a 5/5. The Jamaican missy that works here is amazing, she's friendly and jolly 5/5. I enjoy both the jerk pork and jerk chicken. My style is jerk chicken rice peas with curry goat gravy. It's my go to fire 🔥. Also they have have lunch jerk pork or chicken sandwiches for under 8 bucks. Other Jamaican restaurant should take noticed, I will be coming back anytime I'm around and hungry.
