I have been here many times and this is the best place to enjoy Samgyetang, which is the S1 ginseng chicken soup. It is made with a whole cornish hen from a farm in Ontario. Look for the chunks of real ginseng and all the other little ingredients that elevate it from Samgyetang served at other restaurants. You will taste the quality and authenticity in the ingredients and preparation. Note that you may add salt to season the soup to your taste.
I also had the G3 special seol leong tang beef soup and O3 seafood and green onion pancake which were good although the Samgyetang was definitely the star of the table.
The complementary side dishes were an excellent addition to the meal. In particular the pickled radish cubes were seasoned perfectly and were at the perfect point in fermentation where they still had a snappy crunch with each bite. The little anchovies were also seasoned well and the little bits of garlic stem and crunchy peanuts made for contrasting complexity.
The tableware was traditionally Korean in style just like the Yonge Sreet location although the decor of this restaurant is not as up to date and the seating not as comfy as the banquette and chairs at Yonge. There is free and plentiful parking here, though, which could make a difference for those driving.
I find the Samgyetang here to be a wonderful dish for a winter dinner. I...

I recently dined at Kosam with a friend, and while there were some positives, there were aspects of the meal that left room for improvement. The main courses served were fairly standard for Korean cuisine—nothing out of the ordinary but decently prepared. What fell short, however, were the side dishes, or banchan. The selection was limited and didn’t cater to a diverse palate, which was somewhat disappointing given their integral role in Korean dining.
On a brighter note, the inclusion of a complimentary bowl of soup with the option for refills was a welcome touch. It's always appreciated when restaurants offer these small but significant perks. The pricing was average for the type of food offered, aligning with typical rates for Korean meals in the area.
The restaurant benefits from free parking available on site, which is a plus for anyone driving in this busy part of town.
To improve, I would suggest expanding the variety of side dishes available. Ensuring a broader range to choose from could enhance the overall dining experience and cater to a wider audience. Overall, my visit to Kosam was decent but there's certainly potential for a more rounded experience with some thoughtful...

Here is the story : We were in rush for my son's swimming lesson across the road. It's hard to ask the staff in koren or English, why would we have to ask politely over 3 times to get scissors??( Korean use scissors to cut food, make it easier to eat, especially for kids)
I had late lunch,so 3 adults with 1 kid, We only ordered 2 dishes. (It still costed over 30 bucks ). We needed refill the side dishes, we were told no more refill for us !! What a Korean restaurant, is this how you have been saving money from customers to open the second location last year??? So Unbelievable
Our family loves eat out, this is the only korean restaurant near our home. Unfortunately we won't go back again. With that price we could easily find similar or better taste restaurant near finch station.
Seriously,if there are few real Korean restaurant near there, they won't behave like that. We would go to Hanshi Korea on finch ave west instead of there.
So...
