Let me tell you, I'm usually not the one to leave a review as I just love to eat and to try new things. You either find amazing gems, average, or ones that cannot please the taste buds. I get that people with small businesses are just trying to make an honest living. I've worked in the industry before so I totally get the grind.
Few days ago I was searching for food to try and I came across Los Vietnamita, a Vietnamese Mexican Fusion....Whattt!!! I saw the number of reviews with 5 stars despite one or two reviews with 1 star that didn't make any sense, they were just probably having a bad day or have no perception or knowledge about food. Anyhow, I decided to make the trip to their store from Mississauga yesterday and let me tell you, when you first walk into the the restaurant it looks amazing with an urban street vibe, you'll get it if you have read up about them. Upon walking in, you can also see the open kitchen and it was probably one of the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen!
The menu was very interesting with many options to choose from. They have Banh Mi Tacos, Fries Supremes, Sammies, Rice Boxes and Snacks. I didn't event know what to try! The very friendly gentleman at the front was very helpful in providing me with recommendations. Service here was seriously top notch for a takeout shop. I decided to try the Banh Mi tacos accompanying it with a few combo fries supremes as it was highly recommended. I ordered the Saigon Fried Chicken, Crispy Fish, Carne Asada, Firecracker Shrimp and the Shaking Beef - Combo with Mexicano Fries, Carne Asada, and Al Pastor Fries. WELL LET ME TELL YOU THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Money well spent to be satisfied! Everything was fresh and so mouthwatering flavorful, every item had it's unique flavor, touch and cooked to perfection. And OMG the Fries were something else, it's nothing I've ever seen or had before. I just can't pinpoint which is my favorite but to say that they were all exceptionally above amazing. You just have to try it...
Read moreLos Vietnamita Taqueria has quickly become a hidden gem for taco enthusiasts near my residence. Offering a unique blend of traditional tacos with a Vietnamese twist, this taqueria provides a refreshing take on the beloved Mexican dish.
Venturing in with my wife and son, we decided to explore the menu by selecting four diverse items to share. Our choices included the Crispy fish bites, Al Pastor fries, Braised Pork belly rice, and the Saigon fried chicken taco.
The Crispy fish bites were a delightful surprise, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite, and the Al Pastor fries were a true highlight of the meal. The fries were generously topped with flavorful Al Pastor, creating a fusion of textures and tastes that left a lasting impression.
While the Braised Pork belly rice didn't quite resonate with my personal preferences, the dish still showcased the restaurant's commitment to bold flavors. The portion size was substantial, making it an ideal choice for those looking to share and sample multiple items.
The Saigon fried chicken taco, ordered by my son, was a definite winner. Bursting with distinct Vietnamese flavors, the taco stood out for its crispy exterior and succulent chicken filling. It was a delightful departure from the traditional taco experience.
The portions at Los Vietnamita Taqueria are indeed generous, making it advisable to bring along friends or family to fully enjoy the variety offered. The vibrant and eclectic fusion of Vietnamese and Mexican influences adds an exciting dimension to the dining experience.
In conclusion, Los Vietnamita Taqueria offers a unique and flavorful journey for taco enthusiasts. If you're in the mood for an adventurous taco experience, Los Vietnamita Taqueria is certainly...
Read moreTried their best seller - Saigon Fried Chicken Taco & Fried Fish Bites! It takes some time as it's made to order. The taco was massive and contained 2 large pieces of buttermilk fried chicken coated with saigon sweet chili sauce, garlic creama, creamy slaw, lettuce, carrots & daikon. The taco shell was like a asian onion pancake ( hold the onions) and was so unique to see and eat in this combination. A beautiful marriage of texture and flavour. I would probably eat with a knife and folk next time bc I had a hard time keeping it all contained within the taco. That's okay though bc I love lots of food! The fried fish bites were lightly dusted fried fish nuggets topped with sriracha crema, citrus purple slaw, cucumbers & parsley. Also tried the Carne Asasa Fries which were so good! Fries were topped with Ribeye Steak cubes/ Ancho Crema / LVT Crema / Avocado Salsa / Pico de Gallo / Scallions!
You gotta eat here!
