It's probably the best escape room I've been to! I'm a fairly anxious person and I deeply appreciate not being physically locked inside a room, and I think allowing the players to determine how many hints they should be allowed is a great idea especially for smaller or newer teams!
The special effects and set designs were incredible, and I love how many of the decorations were incorporated into the puzzles! Frantastic twists in both of the rooms we played (it came from the attic and the wizard shop one), the stories were creative and fun, and the puzzles were a blast to discover and do!
And I can't forget to mention the lovely staff, me and my partner were unfortunately running late to our booking but the staff were very understanding and accommodating. And I loved how they stayed in character according to the room we were doing, referring to us as investigators or students! We had a young man looking after us for the night, and he gave excellent hints and just really kept the good energy going with jokes, clear instructions, and a really friendly service (and he convinced us to do a second room after our first one). We had such a good time we even bought a [spoiler] baby plush (if you know you know) and as memento of the night!
I will absolutely be coming again for the other room and any future rooms, too! This was a blast and staff member guy-- I'm so sorry I forgot your name, but you were amazing, and I hope you...
Read moreI'll go against the hivemind here and disagree about this place being the best escape room. It's very average. I regret driving all the way for this place, I should have stuck with the better ones downtown. The decor is very nice, I'll give them that, but as far as the escape room experience goes, I was not impressed. All the puzzels followed a similar pattern and were very linear in how to solve them. It did not require much creativity, even though it was a difficulty rating of 4/5. I also would not suggest a group larger than 4 people to go because you can only solve one riddle at a time, and it's too many people huddled over a small area if they all try to solve it.
At the end, they offered to take our photos, which I initially thought "oh that's nice of them!" but then when they send me the photos, they were plastered with a huge advertisement and the quality was very pixelated. Afterwards they were trying very very hard to push on to sign up for another escape room, it was way too pushy. I also received a total of 8 emails from them just for the one visit.
In summary: Pushy, spammy, provide photos in such low quality that we can't use them, and the "difficult" puzzles were at a difficulty for middle school kids. But nice decor. I will not be recommending this...
Read moreAn INCREDIBLE escape room experience. The whole venue was so on theme, even just the hallways and staircase. You felt like you are being transported into an immersive, fun little world. The store at the front was super cool and a great idea. The staff were absolutely fantastic! they actually seem like they enjoy their jobs! Did a great job explaining everything and being welcoming—every single one of them! So friendly and kind. Also I loved that they have an area at the front celebrating peoples’ birthdays. It was so sweet. I love that phones and photos are allowed! Because let’s face it, when people want to take photos, it’s so they can look back on the fun they had, not spoil the game for others. I wish other escape rooms followed Looking Glass’ lead on this. We did the Operation Flamingo game. It was a great room, tasks were not overwhelming, they were actually very manageable. We ended up solving the room early (with some hints, of course). Room itself was fun and immersive! Neat puzzles—nothing overly challenging/impossible. Also some great photo ops at the end! Cant wait to...
