Nice coffeeshop and would be cozy to work here. However, the drinks game could be improved. I’m a matcha latte girl though and I found the matcha flavour not strong enough and it too watered down or too much milk. A good matcha latte has a strong matcha flavour and needs more proper proportions. I find a lot of places don’t know how to matcha lattes well— baristas: if it’s not your area of expertise, it’s important to get it good so it really is worth the nearly $8-10 it is after tax. Otherwise, you’re buying really expensive cup of milk with barely matcha flavour. I’ve tried it a couple times now to give it a chance and it wasn’t good. I had to ask the barista specifically for less milk and more matcha for better flavour. My friend got the seasonal hibiscous mango drink and said she couldn’t taste the mango either. In general; the drink recipes could be stronger in flavour and a lot more balanced. Hopefully the staff see this review + take this feedback into consideration :) They have good potential to be a prime spot if their...

Mast happens to be my local specialty coffee spot, and they never disappoint: in a light-filled minimal space, they provide a full board of well-prepared barista drinks, and a nicely curated showcase of bakery treats, packaged food and imported sodas. Their customer loyalty programme is easy and fun to use, the baristas are excellent, and the space is conducive to quiet laptopping as well as lively catch-up sessions with friends or colleagues. You know they're doing something right when hospital staffers and TMU personnel walk past closer chain cafƩs to get Mast coffee drinks.

Mast has five small tables plus a side counter with high stools. Hours and offerings vary slightly according to the season.

The space is fully accessible, with a push-button door and an unusually pretty mobility-device-friendly washroom.

Cashless...

We had a brownie and it was very tasty and moist. Also, props to them for being open Canada Day when the nearby Starbucks was closed. However, the tea-based drinks we had were practically undrinkable. The iced chai latte wasn't good, but it was a lot better than what I can only describe as liquid pure cinnamon of a hot chai latte w/ almond milk. The thing was absolutely loaded with pure cinnamon, which in itself, is not a pleasant taste and is very bitter. I did pass on the sweetener but I'm generally a person who drinks their coffee and teas black so it's usually not an issue for me. I continued to drink for a while hoping I would eventually pass the cinnamon coated top and tried stirring it but it was just pure cinnamon throughout. I'm not sure who thinks this tastes good but I had to finish it by pouring it...

Visited Mast for the first time recently and thought it was a great spot to have a coffee and snack. There was quite a lineup when I got there, but the lady working took her time to provide quality drinks and good service nonetheless. Definitely would come back again. Had a flat white, overnight oats, and their sea salt chocolate cookie. Best overnight oats I’ve had to be honest - really liked the texture and had a balanced taste with the berries. Flat white was great - was smooth and not too bubbly with some nice art. Chocolate cookie was nice too - what you’d expect with the sweet and salty combo with some good texture, served at room temp.

Probably one of the best local coffee shops in town. From their delicious coffee that smells just as good as it tastes and looks, to the friendly faces who work their, and overall aesthetic of the space, there’s no complaints. They’re fairly new in town, but management definitely knows what they’re after. No doubt that they will be a busy hotspot in no time. If you’re in say hi to Matt for me, and if you’re into carrot cake give theirs a try! The perfect combination with any of their coffees (pour over or drip), teas or espresso based drinks — they’re all good, believe me I’ve tried!

A beautiful little cafe in downtown. The cafe has a pretty good vibe with different kind of seating. The customer service is excellent and the staff is very friendly. I tried their cappuccino and cheddar and chive scone which were delicious. I would say the best scone I ever had. The day I went their dishwasher was out of service so we didn’t get the ceramic which I was upset about but the coffee made everything worth. They are also cashless which most of the places are these days. Highly recommended cafe for enjoying ā€œme timeā€ or coffee date.
