When my husband and I got engaged, we wanted a church that was welcoming to our different religious background and that's when we found Metropolitan United Church! We attended services and appreciated the message and energy that the congregation exuded. That's when we decided to book MET!
The process was straightforward, first we filled in the application provided on their website and emailed it to the contact on the form. You need to be certain of your rehearsal and ceremony times, which cannot be changed. Keep that in mind! I opted for the red carpet and carillon bells, which were absolutely beautiful. Dr. Wright helped us finalize our processional, marriage license signing and recessional. The organ is so incredibly beautiful! You don't need much decor because the church itself is so stunning.
My husband and I met with Minister Bruce Misener and discussed the order of service for our christian ceremony. It was straightforward and the ceremony was beautiful and efficient!
The overall process was smooth with the help of Sheela and we are so grateful! Side note, I received a few parking passes for the parking lot behind the church, but needed to ask.

Read moreI really like the building, it is just stunning and such craftsmanship that went into it. The stain glass windows need time to see the actual art that has gone into them. If your going to go in just to admire the architecture I would give myself lots of time.
They welcome everyone whether you are religious or not at least when the services are not going on (I am sure they would welcome you to the service as well but no first hang experience there).. Friendly people there to answer questions if they can. Nice to place to go and just take a minute out of your day for a peaceful moment.
