I first heard about Solitaire while I was in the break room at work. CP24 was doing an interview with the owners on buying an engagement ring. Since I was currently looking for one, it caught my interest and I decided to reach out to them that night. Below is my experience working with Solitaire from start to finish on my custom engagement ring. However, to sum up: their spotlight on the news was well earned, indeed.

Alex and Arbi were wonderful to work with. I experienced patient, professional, and curated service throughout the approximate month and a half I spent working with them to craft my custom engagement ring. Don't let the length of my experience fool you, however. They are very quick in their work and deliver high quality works of art. My experience took as long as it did simply because I had never ordered custom jewelry before. They were patient in answering all of my questions and working with my admittedly novice understanding of different settings, cuts, and other attributes. In the end, they were able to distill my multitude of asks into a ring that feels like a cohesive, well thought out and designed work of art which incorporated all of my most important components.

Arbi provided a number of different diamond options and options for the coloured stones I wanted. Alex, the artist, worked with me through a total of three iterations before I was satisfied, all with smiles and "can-do" attitudes whenever I felt it was not quite right. Absolutely a no-pressure environment which made the process so much more enjoyable than going to a regular boutique jewelry store like People's or Mariani, where the salespeople often show interest in direct correlation with your budget.

Speaking of which, they also provided expert advice on how to craft the ring I and my soon to be fiancée wanted while staying within my ideal spend, which was a very refreshing way to do business! Not only that, but their service included a full appraisal and the diamond registration papers, making insuring the ring a breeze. They really do provide the full package deal at Solitaire.

My fiancée and I will definitely be coming back for our wedding bands and my father has already engaged them with ideas for his own custom jewelry piece! They are on of the few businesses that I can honestly say have won their well-deserved reputation the good old fashioned way. Through superb service and quality care for their clientele.

My fiancé and I ended our 6 month world trip in Toronto, Canada -where we got engaged! It was really important to us that we had an ethically sourced/made stone for my engagement ring and after a bit of googling we came across Solitaire!

We had visited lots of different stores over our travels (in several different countrIes) but nothing felt quite right until we entered the Solitaire studio. Family run, personal, and professional we sat down on the couch and knew we'd found the right place. The guys are lovely. Super creative, talented and extremely patient. Over the space of around three days (the time we had left in Toronto!) they worked super hard to create a bespoke design that I can't stop looking at.

They arranged the safe delivery of our engagement ring from Canada to The Netherlands (where we live!) And over the last couple of months we have worked together overseas via email to create our bespoke wedding rings to match the beautiful engagement ring they designed.

Solitaire replied super-fast to our emails for queries and ideas and created life-like 3D renders of their designs so that we could see exactly how the final product would look which we're extremely grateful for, especially being so far away! They made everything easy and were totally transparent about costs, the amount of work that would be involved, and timings for the whole process.

Our wedding rings just arrived, really quickly, and on the exact date that the guys promised. We have two months until we get married and I keep finding the wedding ring box in different places around our apartment as my fiancé (who has never worn jewellery and never really planned to!) keeps sneaking his wedding ring on to sneak a peak. He LOVES it! We can't wait to put them on and never take them off!
