First and last time I will order food from this place. Based on an almost 5 star rating on Uber Eats I decided to give it a go, what a mistake! I cannot say that the reviews are legit on Uber eats.
I ordered 3 dishes, red chicken curry, pad Thai and stir fried eggplant. All dishes were lacking in authentic flavor, the pad Thai was very sweet and is almost white as you can see in the pictures with no other flavors. The noodles were all clumped together.
The eggplant dish was soaked in oil, probably about 1/4 cup just in one portion and lacking in flavor. The red curry chicken was the best of the three but still not spicy enough and the chicken was dry, tough and overcooked. I have no complaints about the plain rice!
If you want authentic food that tastes good this is not the place for you. This is westernized Thai food for people that don't know any better.
I cannot comment on the service or atmosphere since this was a delivery order but I will never return so it's irrelevant. Only gave 2 stars because it's possible their service could be great.
Do not recommend! Don't get fooled by reviews...
Read moreBefore I begin I would like to say that the in-restaurant experiences that I have had here differs greatly from the delivery experiences we have had from Sorn. Dining in the restaurant we have only had good experiences. However it has been a couple years (Largely due to COVID) since we have dined in the restaurant.
Food prepared for delivery has been disappointing to say the least. We are not talking about cold food due to slow delivery, We are talking about poor or careless food prep. Rice dishes over cooked, dishes over seasoned and spring rolls that are very greasy, just to mention a few points. Spring rolls are consistently over fried, dark and incredibly oily. It has now gotten to the point that we no longer will order Sorn for delivery after receiving the last three or four orders.
The delivery portion of a restaurant's business should be every bit as important as the dine-in or takeaway business. Just because you do not make eye contact with customer, doesn't mean you should put them at the back of the line and provide them with poorly...
Read moreI recently dined at Sorn Thai Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was met with an atmosphere of indifference, starting with the rude demeanor of the waitress. Her lack of courtesy and dismissive attitude tainted the entire meal.
As for the food itself, it was a major letdown. I was hoping for an authentic Thai culinary experience, but what I received was a far cry from it. The dishes lacked the distinctive flavors and aromas characteristic of Thai cuisine. Instead, everything seemed drowned in an excessive amount of sweetness, completely masking any semblance of authenticity.
Overall, my visit to Sorn Thai Restaurant was a regrettable one. Between the unwelcoming service and the disappointing food, I left feeling thoroughly unsatisfied. Needless to say, I won't be returning, and I certainly wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a genuine Thai...
