This is definitely a place that has been around forever...and the interior reflects that!
I went in to try their veal sandwich and there was a sign in the window advertising it at $4.99. The sign inside however said $5.65... we asked the woman working there what was up with that, and she seemed confused "There is a sign in the window?, how long has that been there? Must be old prices...I will take it down right away!"
Just so you know, I DID eat the veal sandwich, and it was by far, the WORST thing I have eaten in a long time. The veal was cooked, and sitting in the steam table....in the most anemic looking and tasting tomato sauce. I would liken the texture of said veal to soggy cardboard. At least the bun was fresh...All it came with was sad tomatoes and lettuce...
I rode by there a day later, and the sign saying $4.99 is still in the window...meh!
I will NOT be going back there EVER, and suggest you...

I mostly buy bread here. I prefer bakery bread to mass produced bread. Even the average quality of the bread here. What really disapoints is that they slice the bread using a bread slicer, that cuts slices to thick, and has been broken for over a year with broken cutting blades. So every time you get a loaf of bread, it has two sections that are not sliced.
The other bakes items and treats are average to good. Depending on the item. I have never used the cafe service here so...

We tried 2 of their pastries, although I don't recall the names of either. One was similar to apple pie, and was quite good, while the other was a flaky pastry with custard in the middle and vanilla/chocolate icing on top. The latter was extremely hard and difficult to cut through, so that wasn't great. I'd guess that most of what they offer is much better than this though, so I'll probably...
