Came for dinner on a Monday night. Food was pretty delicious and lots of items to choose from. I would have rated this 4 stars if it was better value. Although I understand this is a tapas restaurant, $4.50 for 3 meatballs (kofta) the size of large gumballs is not really a good deal. There were several other dishes that lacked in quantity of food too (considering they're valued at $4.50 per dish): fried yams=soft sweet potato fries, baba ganoush was such a small portion (no more than 4 tablespoons) and same for the mettiziki (diced cucumber in yogurt), and 3 breakfast sized sausages for the dream sausage. It was a good thing we came on a Monday so there was a buy one get one for $2.22 for up to 10 dishes. A slight increase in the tapas portion would definitely help the customers feel more satisfied. Going in on a Monday or Tuesday is a good idea. Also, for the server to mention the Monday night or Tuesday night special would be helpful too. We had no idea until we got the bill (which was not itemized but was cheaper than we calculated) and saw the specials board on...
Read moreWe have been going to Mezzetta for over 15 years, but somehow haven't been in over a year maybe 2. The staff are friendly and helpful as ever, and the food is always great-good. Their worst dish is good. Over 15 years prices have risen, portions shrunk a bit, but the quality has always been there. This is specifically a great restaurant to take those with dietary restrictions (I am allergic to onions), vegetarians, or those on special diets. So many things are easily accommodated, and there is a wide variety of foods. Tips. Talk to your server about any restrictions and ask about what can be modified, what cannot. If you've ever liked green beans, get their fried green beans. Best way to have then in my opinion. Get a pitcher of the orange...
Read moreThis was such an amazing find and I'm upset that I hadn’t found it sooner! The menu is huge and full of such tasty mezze dishes! I wish I had more pictures to share, but we were hungry and the food looked so appetizing (looks were NOT deceiving either) that most of it was gone before we could take a picture. Also, love the atmosphere, very quaint but so cozy. There’s a whole page of vegetarian options, plus there are salad style dishes. Vegetarians will have no problem finding options, it will just be hard to actually choose since everything sounded so good. Also, the prices are truly the best you’re going to get in Toronto PLUS the quality is phenomenal. Truly wish I could...
