The fight for bubble tea supremacy in the Midland and Finch area of Scarborough is always raging. The myriad of options in the area can often leave the uninitiated paralyzed by the sheer number of tempting possibilities. Itâs rare to find one that truly stands out and becomes your âgo-toâ but MĂGE TEE has become just that.
The drink selection is diverse, and the quality is consistently top-notch. The shop itself is always clean and bright, with a welcoming vibe that instantly draws you in. Whether youâre looking for fresh fruit teas or a handcrafted milk tea; everything on the menu feels well thought out and intentional.
Theyâre fantastic at offering recommendations tailored to your preferences. Sam (the owner), in particular, has a talent for suggesting unique options that make every visit feel fresh and exciting. In terms of their drink offerings, it is safe to say that they are phenomenal. However, what truly surprised me was the food. Most bubble tea shops will offer snacks as a potential value-add to peckish customers but MĂGE not only fills that need, it makes you want to come back for more. Noodles, tiramisu, and various desserts can often be found on a rotating menu showing that Sam is willing to try different things and I think that his current offering is a game-changer.
At the time of this writing, you can currently get dumplings in hot and sour soup PLUS a handcrafted drink for $13.99. The dumplings are handmade in store and rival many specialty stores. The hot and sour soup - which is often overly salty or overly seasoned at most places â is incredibly flavourful and comforting making it a winning combination. If someone had told me that the food was from a dumpling restaurant I would believe it.
With stellar drinks, incredible food, and top-notch service, this place isnât just another bubble tea shopâitâs a destination worth...

The man at the counter (who I assume is the owner) was super knowledgeable about all the drinks he had on the menu. He explained to me which of the teas were the most popular and why, and he also told me what was in the drinks.
I got the Uji Coconut Matcha drink. The drink had oats and lychee jelly in it. It tasted light and sweet. This is without changing the ice and sugar levels. The owner also gave me a little cup of the Fresh Watermelon Tea to sample. Very kind of him to do so. The Watermelon slushy tea tastes very much like a watermelon. It was light and sweet (not as sweet as drinking straight watermen juice), and felt pretty refreshing to drink.
Unlike Coco's, if you drink at 100% sugar (the regular amount), it's just pure sugar and no tea taste. Over here, even at regular sugar levels, the tea drink isn't too sweet or overpowering sweetness. It's just up my alley. And there's tea taste too. Also, unlike Coco's fruit tea, which is purely 100% sour as hell... The fruit teas here is so much better.
I'll be coming back to this fresh tea drink shop in the future. Going to come back and try the season summer fresh fruit tea (peach), the watermelon slush tea... Especially to try more of their fruit teas and their strangest drink yet-- the avocado tea drink!
They take credit...
Read moreThe bubble tea is surprisingly good here, IF THE MAN IS THE ONE MAKING IT. I like the popping bubble topping. It's not too sweet and packed with flavour.
I got my gf the mango cake in a can and she really enjoyed it as well. The cake was moist and the mangoes were sweet. These things are KINDA overpriced for what they are but so many desserts are nowadays lol. (Mofu is the brand of the cake maker I believe).
We also tried green tea and strawberry cream filled mochi to try. I liked both. The dough was nice and chewy (not tough) and the filling had a nice creamy texture. My gf wished the strawberry mochi came w/ fresh strawberry chunks so it was a lil disappointing for her (difference in preference).
From other reviewers, it seems like this chain is well-known in other parts of the world. I do like that they setup shop in sky city where there's a ton of competition.
I'll come back in the future to try some of their other drinks. They have some very interesting seasonal drinks that I want to...
